Cold Open And Introductions

SPEAKER_00

Don't look under the internet.

SPEAKER_02

Hello, everyone. Welcome to Welcome Scream Under the Internet. Don't look under the Internet. Don't look under the Screamy Internet. A podcast brought to you by Sienna Tables. Do you need a do you need a orange brown table? Sienna Tables has you come. Watch the last episode if you want to get that reference. Yeah, welcome to Don't Look Under the Internet. The internet's best comedy horror podcast featuring the likes of yours truly, Jason.

SPEAKER_04

It's me. I'm Jason, and I don't have any sexually transmitted diseases.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I believe you, but it's odd that you had to announce it. Yep. And I'm Mike, and I definitely have sexually transmitted diseases. At least all of them. And several known to monkeys. That's from something. I think that's from the Fairly Odd Parents, where it's like he's got he's got several different diseases, and several known to monkeys. It's either from Fairly Odd Parents or Futurama.

SPEAKER_04

It's one of the two. Oh, it might be Futurama. You're right. It might be. That does sound like a Futurama a lot.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um but yeah, welcome everybody. Uh as you can see, it's just Jason and myself, much like last week, because we record these back to back. If you didn't know that already, where the fuck have you been? We've been doing this for like nine months.

SPEAKER_04

No, we do this every day on the day this comes out, and we race to get to the uh the editing suite.

SPEAKER_02

You're right. Every day. I physically run the SD card from Illinois to Indiana to Matt's computer. Yeah. And then I have to run back. No car. No, I have to run. It's miserable. I don't know how people do it. Yeah. Your Patreon dollars go towards getting me new shoes because I wear them out every week. Every time he runs there. Yeah. I have to. I have to run the SD card to mask Castle every week. There it is. His giant fucking castle.

SPEAKER_04

I saw that connection just go.

SPEAKER_02

First and foremost, uh housekeeping. Club overhead. No housekeeping. I do just want to uh give another shout out just because we did you dirty. I want to give a shout out to uh Gaiman watching you again for reasons that we last week. But you can't get past the castle that is where I'm staying at. Why do I talk about castles, you ask? Well, we're talking about a very gothic asshole. Yeah. We're talking about a very interesting castle for you today. Uh we're talking about the Hoska castle. Uska. Hoskia.

SPEAKER_04

Which sounds weirdly close to the Lithuanian word for lips. What's that? Usta. Usta, okay, that's fun.

SPEAKER_02

Hoskia.

SPEAKER_03

Or U S D A.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, we are.

SPEAKER_03

You know where I learned that, Mike?

SPEAKER_02

Where veggie tails. That makes sense. When they're not busy teaching about Israel and how it's God's golden land.

SPEAKER_04

And how it's they're better than everyone. Yeah. There's a cucumber singing about lips.

SPEAKER_01

God, that show is so fucking weird.

SPEAKER_04

No, dude, that show is indoctrinating, is what it is. Oh, Hundo P. Oh, God, yeah. However, it was a giant part of my childhood. It wasn't mine, but I respect it.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway, since we're talking about Christian values.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, kind of. Before we get too deep into Host Castle, I do want to know if there's a pipeline between making your kid watch like real old religious cartoons or something like Veggie Tales, and if they become less religious or more religious because of it. Like you grew up watching Veggie Tales, look at you now.

SPEAKER_04

Dude, see that's what I'm saying. I wonder if there's a connection. Since we're talking about it, this is my personal thoughts on child rearing. Oh, okay. Um, the more restrictions you give them, the more they're going to want to explore those restrictions. That makes sense. Yeah. So anything it's banned. I don't know. Like a bunch of vegetables singing and dancing because it's not Christian enough for my household. Well, I gotta see it. Yeah. Alien? First time I saw Alien, I was six years old because I was told not to watch it. Did it anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Funny how kids That's how you make it happen.

SPEAKER_02

Funny how kids are rebellious and they will do what you tell them not to do. It's weird like that, right? Uh, but yeah, I I I someone out there, let me know. Send us an email, doodypotted gmail.com. Is there a study on that? Because I want to know more about it.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. We're not talking about veggie tales. No, we aren't. I have I do have a story about veggie tails and read it, but we'll save that.

SPEAKER_02

If we have time afterwards, let's get into that fucking chestnut.

Why Houska Castle Exists

SPEAKER_04

You gotta remind me, but yeah, sure.

SPEAKER_02

So what what are we what is hoska castle? Why are we talking about Hoska castle? Well, why are we talking about that, Mike? Why aren't we talking about it? Where does it live? So basically is it alive? Let's is it alive? Who knows? TLDR, because we're gonna get into the meat and potatoes of it here, but the Hoska castle is a castle out in uh uh the Czech Republic. Technically, it's Chechia. Chechia.

SPEAKER_04

It's it's not Chechnya, it's not Czechoslovakia, it is Chechia. Chechia, okay, Chechia. Interesting. All right. And it cost$560 to do a round trip on a flight. Not bad. In case you're wondering.

SPEAKER_02

I was. Anyway, Chechia. Over in Chechia. Chechia. Out in the fucking wild random woods of Chechia sits a castle on top of a fucking like giant hill. And the castle is home to some freaky ass shit. And we're gonna get into some of that freaky ass shit. So, anyway, where is Hoska Castle? How was it founded? So, back in the 800s, doesn't give a specific date, but back in the 800s.

SPEAKER_04

Uh the history was hit or miss back then.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Uh north uh just north of Prague in Chechia, uh, there was a a person named Prince Slavabor, I believe his name was. I could not figure out how to pronounce this, so I just watched a video and the guy pronounced it Slavabor. Yeah. Sounds about right. We'll see how that goes. Shouts out again to the tape library because that is how I got the pronunciation. Uh apparently we are just stealing content because this is two in a row for that I found on the tape library. Didn't realize that until I watched this all the way through. Uh, but uh this uh this prince decided to build a wooden castle in this area and uh in Chechia. The reason for this uh according to some research, there is a cultural significance with the uh I believe it was like the uh the Celtic and like uh like the German people at the time. There's like it's like a cultural significance of the area. Although it is a very remote area, there's no natural water sources around it, there's no like military strategic benefits to building the city. Oh, there's nothing. There's nothing. There is no reason to ever build here because it has nothing to do with it. Why would you? Exactly. You've got miles of forests and cliffs. Yeah, not in the cliffs, not only is it just uh forests and cliffs, but most of this area is just limestone. Yeah, and usable. Yeah, and so while they were building their castle here, this wooden castle that Slavabor decided he wanted to live in with his family, while they were building and working on construction of this this castle, this big old hole just split right open. And soon after that, the royal family, Slavobor, all of them, almost immediately fled. Almost immediately after this hole opened up. Now I wonder why that would happen.

The Pit Rumored As Hell

SPEAKER_04

I don't know, Mike, although I might have some clues to help. Um so, like Mike said, the uh the original year that this area of the world starts its very fantastical history is around 800 AD. Um, you are gonna find a lot of information between 1200 and 1600 or 1700 AD. However, that is not where we're starting. Um, so again, 800 AD. This forest north of Prague in Chechia, or what was soon to become the Czech Republic in some kind of fashion, but not exactly. Um has this forest, and there was a hole. What's what was uh assumed to be a bottomless pit opened up in said forest. There's zero documentation, at least credible documentation, that goes over the opening of said hole, how deep it was, when it formed, etc. etc. However, it did open up and it was bottomless. Um, way back when, you know, around 800 AD. This was not looked at as like a a normal not a good omen. No, bad, very bad. The earth didn't just do this unless it had reason to kill you or like something like that. Like, why would it do this? And like and like we said, you nobody could see the bottomless hole, so it was believed to be bottomless for a long, long fucking time.

SPEAKER_02

They stopped working on the castle to just try to fill the hole, so they just dump rocks and like all sorts of other sediment shit, and they they couldn't couldn't make a dent. There's uh there's stories of them throwing all this stuff in and they couldn't even hear it hit the bottom.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, dude, wait till you hear the first person who goes in there. Oh great. Um we'll get to that when it's hole. This hole opens up though, right? And it's the middle of a forest, and it's it just has this like this weird energy to it, like this weird presence. Um apparently, according to some some very old texts, um it it just gave people like the I guess what you would call in modern days, yes, the heebies and the jeebies, both, both of them. Um they just they didn't fucking like it. There was uh reports, again, from ancient, ancient times of like winged creatures blocking to this this open hole in the middle middle of the forest. Um it was decided that this hole was actually not just a like a sink hole, it was not just a a new cave system that opened up. No, this was by design, and somebody created a portal directly to hell. Oh yeah, dude. Which is what this hole has been thought of ever since, pretty much ever since it's opened up. Um, and it's the it's really the only reason the castle exists in this area. Because, again, like Mike said, this is so desolate, it's miles away from civilization. There's nothing, like there's no trade routes, there's no bus stops, there's no grocery store, like there's nothing over here.

SPEAKER_02

The only reason that the prince decided to build out there was because the surrounding land had like cultural significance to some of the people around. Again, I forgot exactly what that was that was the excuse, yes. Yeah, it was like the the it was the Celtics, and I want to say like Vikings or something, but that doesn't sound right considering the area.

SPEAKER_04

Well, Celts and Vikings are almost cut from the same cloth. Yeah. Almost, not quite, but almost. Um, but the like the so like we were saying, like this this hole in the ground has this dark energy around it. And the only reason that this has any attention is because it was close enough to a main road um near oh fuck, I forget the name of the empire. It was sold, it was 880.

SPEAKER_02

Oh uh, it was um the oh fuck, I know uh Bohemian.

SPEAKER_04

It was the Bohemian Bohemian, yes, the Bohemian, yes, the Bohemian Empire, which was kind of at its height right now, was the closest to this. And directly after this, within the next like 50 to 100 years, they created a road system through the entire forest, they created checkpoints, like they basically made they they tamed it, they made it walkable, they made it manageable.

SPEAKER_02

All because castles here, right?

SPEAKER_04

Exactly. Well, I guess that might be the reason. Um, so yeah, this this hellish hole that opened up at the ground that has everyone believing that either like a witch did it or a demon has impersonated somebody and is now trying to summon his brethren, whatever it is, it's been deemed a very, very, very malevolent hole.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um some of the stories are pretty fun. Like, I know you're gonna get into a little bit more detail of some of the sightings later. I cannot wait to go into the prisoner. My my favorite is uh and uh there's like no information on just other than like a description, but they they there's mention of like construction workers like fled and a bunch of them like stopped construction on the the castle because like you said, there's witnesses of like winged creatures. There's like a half man, half-frog thing, like demonic thing that they said kept coming out.

SPEAKER_04

Oh dude, yeah, preacher hybridization is a huge like there's a and it's years apart, these accounts. You can't like you can't explain the the accounts you hear because you hear all about like a frog with a lizard or like a monkey with a dragon or like something like shit like that. It's it's uh fuck. It's uh what's the the dog and the little girl from um Oh from Full Metal Office?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I don't remember, but I know what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_04

I forget their names, but Edward?

SPEAKER_03

Like, yes, like that that's the shit going on here.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, just a lot of just right off the rip, just demon, demon, demon, demon, demon, demon, very, very demonic. Uh it wasn't until it was at this point with like all these sightings and everything that construction on the castle and the area itself just kind of like died down.

SPEAKER_04

Um it wasn't until real quick. Yeah, since we're going into this, can I just there was an actual structure built, and I think it was around 900 AD. It was like a hundred years after uh this hole. This hole was found somewhere between 800 and 900 and 900 AD. Um, they can't confirm it simply because of all the cultural references around the entire castle. Yeah, um, but that there was there was a castle built in this area, however, the reasons are very unknown. So there was a structure here in about 1200 AD.

Castle Rebuilt Without Human Comfort

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's what I'm getting into. No, you're right. So uh 1200 AD comes along. We're getting into castle 2.0. So uh the castle was rebuilt by the Bohemian ruler Atakar II. But instead of this being like a castle, the the alleged purpose for this building was for it to be like an administrative building for uh like politicians and and like royalty and people of that that it's slavery slavery-related bureaucracy, I think. Pretty much, yeah, pretty much. So this time around though, they were they said, hey, instead of building a giant castle out of wood, why don't we make it out of rocks instead? And they did just that. The odd thing about this castle though, when they built it. The weird thing is the very large lack of things like windows or a kitchen or other rooms or even items that are needed. They had almost no murder holes. Yeah. Which is ridiculous. Which is ridiculous. But it was it was lacking like everything for basic like comfort or living. It it it had nothing there in it. Um it was almost as if it wasn't meant for humans to live in, but for demons to be trapped inside. Because at this point, they were well aware of the hole and the stories that came from uh and they had some ideas on what to do with this hole.

SPEAKER_04

Mike, can I ask you what were there any like common myths or legends about this hole in this time period before this next part? Um that you found. I don't expect you to have found any because again, between 800 and 1200 AD.

SPEAKER_02

I believe uh I believe around this time gap is when the one of the bigger sightings of the horse come into play. I don't know if you talk about the horse at all.

SPEAKER_04

Again, I like I re I read your notes, man, and I read your outline. I couldn't find a single piece of information on the beheaded horse. Okay, so there there's sightings. Can we go into it, please?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so around this the from the 800s to now, the biggest sightings there there's a couple common ones. Two of the big biggest and most common ones was there is a horse, uh, a white horse, white headless horse that runs around just drenched and coated in blood. And it just kind of song My Better Lovers comes from. Yeah, yeah. It's it's that old. Yeah. Um, but it is it is said to roam around the property of the castle and the neighboring forest as well. The other is pretty similar. It's a man that walks around without his head, and he's also covered in blood. And you can hear this this man like screaming out in agony, even though he has no head, and just kind of limping around again the property of the castle. Those are the two most prominent of them all. Um yeah, they it was it's not until it's not until you find out that this bohemian guy is a real asshole that you get more of the stories. Uh turns out he doesn't treat prisoners all that well, and we're about to find out what I mean.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, my like you say doesn't treat them well, but honestly, not knowing what we know now, I I feel like it was a pretty fair deal. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

This had SCP vibes where it's uh guy uh prisoner D. D class. Yeah, D class, get in there, see what happens. Yeah, pretty much.

SPEAKER_04

Well, that's that's what I think this might be the first ever instance recorded of a D-class personnel going to investigate an SCP. Yeah. Because, dear Lord. Are you done with the yeah, the castle too?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, we are going to have to debate after this which hole is the strongest. Uh, this hole or Mel's hole.

The Prisoner Descent Story

SPEAKER_04

Or Mel's. Yeah, we're gonna have to. Well, considering uh that we just barely got a drawing of one of them. I don't know. Um, so Mike had Mike mentioned that there were prisoners that had entered this pit, this hole in the ground. Um, and he's not wrong. And unfortunately, there's only one actual, verifiable, credible uh source of a prisoner being anywhere close to this pit at Hooska Castle. Um and so, instead of the facts, the story goes like this. The basically, whoever was in charge of the castle at the time um wanted to know what the fuck was at the bottom of this pit because the castle's already been built. The pit is underneath the castle wanted to know what the hell is going on. So a complete sentence communic commutation was offered for whichever prisoner would be willing to be attached to a rope and lowered into the hole to report back their findings, right? Um there's only one report of one prisoner ever being lowered in this hole. And he goes, Yeah, fuck it. If if you're gonna commute my whole life sentence, then yes, I will go into the yes, I'll do this.

SPEAKER_02

I'll jump into the abyss.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, why the fuck not? So he gets on this uh this little rope pulley system and they lower him down, and when he gets near the bottom, well, assumedly the bottom, because again, they don't know how deep it is. Yeah, um, they hear a blood curdling scream. The rope starts jerking around, and whoever's at the bottom, this prisoner at the bottom, starts freaking the fuck out. Like absolutely freaking the fuck out. So they quickly pull him back up, pull him back up. When he gets to the top, his hair is completely. White. And his face looks like he's aged 40 fucking years. 20 years. Apparently, this this prisoner was like 20 some odd years old. And when he came out of the pit, he looked like he was 60. Wrinkles, bags on the eyes, pale faced, receding hairline, everything. That's fucked up, right? Very. However, the prisoner refuses to talk about what he saw at the bottom of the hole. So he was put to death. Tell me what you saw. Uh-oh. Kill him. Well, just kill him. So like I I don't know. We don't know what he saw. We have no idea why he was there. Why was a prisoner being lowered over a hole in the floor in a castle, Mike?

SPEAKER_02

Uh probably because the guy sucks.

SPEAKER_04

Let's just go. Well, no, I'm I'm I'm I'm leaning you into thinking about the time period and what kind what what kind of rule of law was happening around 1200 AD? Was it the rule of logic?

SPEAKER_02

The law of you could catch these hands, son. Or was it the rule of religion? The rule of these nuts is what it is.

SPEAKER_03

Is these nuts religion? Because then you're right.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, very much so. It is just religious rule of law.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, absolutely, man. They it got looked at as like if you can survive God's wrath, you can survive going down this hole. And if you can't, it will kill you. Literally, it's like they lowered the person. Oh my god, it's like they lowered a person into the Ark of the Covenant. Oh, yeah, that's fun.

Chapel Paintings And Sealing The Hole

SPEAKER_02

Well, not fun for them, but a fun contact. Fun for them. For me, yes. Very fun. From an out to the outside perspective. Neat. I'm over here. I'm uh I'm across the pond. Yeah, I'm in my own, I'm in my own world here. So it it's after this whole thing with the prisoners that they they they decide, you know what we should do with this? Obviously, there's some evil shit going on here. We should protect it. We should protect. Make sure no one else can hurt the hole.

SPEAKER_04

With weapons, right? And like logical contraptions that make sure things can't open and close, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah. No. Yeah. No. Instead, they barricade. Here's what they do.

SPEAKER_03

They basically throw a couple pieces of plywood on top of it, and then they build a cast uh a chapel on top, and they're like And they say the holy the the the the hour five or ten times.

SPEAKER_04

Yep, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

They hail Mary and call it a day. Um but yeah, they they basically were like, there's some evil shit going on in this hole. Let's put the castle's chapel on top of the hole. This, they thought, would prevent any more evil from coming out of the hole.

SPEAKER_01

Spoiler alert.

SPEAKER_02

It didn't work out too well. Um so inside of the chapel, you could see a plethora of imagery that you can tell uh Christianity was just rising through the ranks. It was a big thing. Um there's also some pagan imagery going on here as well. So it's a bit of a bit of a mix of both. There's imagery here where you can see uh angels killing demons. Uh, specifically, there's uh Michelangelo uh painting that that where he's uh spearing a demon. There are human-animal hybrid creatures shooting bows and arrows at other creatures, more fucking animal human hybrid shit like we were talking about earlier. And apparently the this creature is shooting using its left hand, which back in religious senses apparently meant evil. I did not understand that, but apparently that is a thing. But all in all, just it's filled with this religious uh uh imagery, and you there's even like paintings of like the Renaissance that was happening in the day as well, the the Christian Renaissance. There's paintings uh showing and reflecting that that you can still see to this day, if all this stuff is still in the chapel, which is pretty neat. Uh but wild that they placed this chapel on top of this uh this this hole in the ground. Now, don't quote me on this, because it's a vague memory, and I might be remembering a completely different uh location, but I have vague memories of I want to say the ghost adventures crew going here, or they go somewhere similar where they're like, hey, there's they say there's a hole here, and they use like a seismograph kind of to bump into that. Hey, Matt's here. He's on a plane. Hi, Matt.

SPEAKER_01

I can't hear you, but that's okay. You're not talking. You're just love you and miss you.

SPEAKER_03

Have fun and vibrate yourself. I hope everyone in the plane can hear this.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, the amount of things I want to do right now. Bye. I really want to yell bomb.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god. If you ever want to know what happens, if that happens, just ask me, because my brother is autistic and did that. Oh lord. During 9-11.

SPEAKER_02

Oh god, what a that's not terrible. Um, but it was bad. Again, I can't remember. I don't I don't think it's goes, I don't think they went here, but I I vaguely recall that they go to a this place or somewhere like it where they use like seismographs to actually determine if there's anything underneath. There's a hole or anything underneath. Now that I'm saying out loud, I do think they go somewhere else where they're they're they're they're using seismographs to see if there's uh like a tunnel system. Might be Edinburgh Castle too. Yeah, because that's not far. Yeah, but I I just have this very haunted. Yeah, I just have this vague memory, and I'm probably wrong, but still, uh it'd be very interesting to see. I believe someone in the Discord said uh uh there's actually a Ghost of Fentures. Yeah, uh the team from Expedition X did investigation there. The episode came out in October. Uh looks at they're looking for Nazi stuff, which spoiler, we'll get to that. But whoa, so so people so people have gone to this castle, but I digress. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, dude, you can reserve a room here as long as you do it like a year in advance. Spooky.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But there are other stories that happen at this castle. And I've I picked a couple of the more prominent ones, I feel, uh, for us to call.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, no, dude. The one that you picked for me to to to study is like that's my shit. It's pretty cool. It's and to be fair, Google wanted me to wanted me to search for Toronto's story.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know how to spell it.

Oronto The Black Sorcerer Legend

SPEAKER_04

Uh don't care, but no, you did it correctly. He's just so fucking old that Google's like, he doesn't matter anymore. It's Toronto now. That tracks. Yeah. Um, so yeah, let's uh let's talk about uh an actual first hand account. Uh mind you, it's a historically documented first hand account. Which kind? Well, that's someone wrote it down decades ago. No, no, it what that means is it's verified. Good. Which is actually kind of freaky and weird, but however, again, 1600s. I don't know. We'll see. Um so we've talked about the chapel, we've talked about this castle, we've talked about the hell pit, we've talked about a lot of other things concerning Hooska Castle. Um, but now we are gonna talk about a firsthand account of I'm gonna go ahead and say the 1600s version of Alistair Crowley decided to inhabit this castle. Hell yeah. Uh so in about I think it was 1622, I think. I can't remember. Um, there was a uh a widely known black sorcerer, uh known by the name of Oranto. And apparently, Oranto in inhabited this castle during one of its periods of desolation, which means nobody was there, was left abandoned. So this man, Aronto, showed up, found the castle, saw the pit, went, huh. I could do something with this. I hate this. Yeah, we could do something with this. I also hate it. Um no fucking hell. I just clicked out of my information. Uh uh, give me one sec, Mike. I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, I can't believe you've done this to me.

SPEAKER_04

I can't believe I've done this to me. Uh uh, I'm seconds away. I'm so sorry. Okay. Um go back, thank you. Right, the chapel. Uh, so this hole is found, and honestly, this is a it's a it's a topic of heavy, heavy lore. It goes through witchcraft, it goes through paganism. Like, there's you can find parts of this story in a lot of different religions, um, simply because it comes from an area where a lot of humanity came from, especially Western civilization. So, whenever you hear things like gargoyles and I don't know, flying devils, kind of like the Jersey Devil. Um, I feel like all of that is steeped in this lore. Gargoyles are French.

SPEAKER_02

How do you know that? I I learned it when we did uh the I think they're French anyway. Oh, I actually I I don't recall. I know the word gargoyle just means like water spout. Because they it they they came from the like it's literally just the word gar uh water spout or something like that. I think it's French. We learned about it when we did the Franks Gargoyle thing. It is.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Everyone in France claims to be the origin of gargoyles to the legend of a dragon la Gorgoyle, which apparently fuses stone and dragons, which creates the watchers that look over buildings.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's super cool. But France is around that area, it's Europe, they're all intertwined. Oh, that's no the gargoyle is French, for sure. No, I mean like the France is around this area too, like the Chechia. Oh, yeah, France, Sweden, it's all the same.

SPEAKER_04

They're all the same. Um, again, back to the 1600s, 1630. Uh, apparently the castle was believed to be occupied by a Swedish black magic practitioner named Oronto. I'm a black magic. Your search results may be changed to Toronto, which is why this took me so fucking long. Um, it was said that Oranto toiled night and day to discover. Are you ready? The elixir of life, which we all know is hidden within the confines of a tree on an island that can't be seen by any maps or satellites. We know that. However, there's a Swedish man here looking for the elixir for eternal life. Has he tried in this castle, in this weird fucking castle that is over a pit to what most people believe up to this point to be hell, a portal to hell. Um is said that he toiled day and night to discover this elixir. However, the locals were so scared of him that apparently they hatched a plot and they recruited two Swedish hunters to break into the castle. Where are all these Swedish people coming from? Fucking murder, because they're not far. So apparently these Swedish hunters broke in, murdered the shit of this guy, and basically within that same week, the entire legend just fucking died. Done. Gone. Goodbye. Um, and that's honestly that's the the biggest uh lead to a black magic practitioner being a part of this castle's history. Other than that, I mean, there is a group of people that might be considered black magicians, depending on if they're in Antarctica, Brazil, Germany, wherever you are. They're a bit everywhere. Currently, they're in Brazil, I'm convinced. Um that's the gist of Aronto's story. He was a black magician that showed up, took over the castle, decided to use ooh, there's hell power here, and made a bunch of weird shit happen, according to occultists of the time.

SPEAKER_02

I I don't know how other than that, I don't know how accurate it is, but I I was I heard this thing with the Oranto story where he also he thought he could not die. And so the the hunters used a gun that they said was like blessed or magical and could kill him. And they just shot him. That part didn't matter.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they just shot him. He's just like, Oh, I'm here to tell you that part didn't matter.

SPEAKER_01

They just shot him, they're just like, Oh fuck. Bless this bullet.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's just a Smith and Weston, baby. No, it's just Smith and Weston. Like just a fast moving projectile. Yeah, I just enjoy how he's just like meat.

SPEAKER_02

Nothing can kill me. You need a blessed gun. How about just a gun? No, you don't just a regular ass gun.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Um as we're I'm good there.

Voices In The Chapel Walls

SPEAKER_02

As we continue through history, we get into more modern sightings, like in the 19th century. This one was pretty simple, not a whole lot going on, but I did want to bring it up because it ties into the religious stuff of smidge. Oh, yeah. So in the 19th century, there was a maintenance worker that was working late in the chapel, and while repairing a wall in the chapel, he started to hear these voices. While looking for the source of the voices, he noticed that whenever he would talk and ask, hello, is anyone there? things like that, the voices would not respond to him, but they would just keep talking, kind of like they're ignoring his existence. He also noticed that the voices were speaking a completely different language, one that was not familiar to him. As he went about the chapel trying to find who was making these noises and voices, or the who was talking, who the fuck is talking? He discovered that the voices sound like they're coming from the walls. When he heard this, he basically got the fuck out of that chapel. He had never returned. He was asked by an interviewer. But why God's talking to him? I don't think this was God, I'll tell you that much. When he was asked by this encounter, it was the other one. Yeah, it was dog, um the bounty hunter. Did he die? Did Dog the Bounty Hunter die?

SPEAKER_04

Yes, and three days later he came, he was resurrected.

SPEAKER_02

Um so when he was asked in the interview about the the encounter, the uh the about the voices and everything, the man mentioned that although he could not make out what language it was, he did hear one word, and it was seraph. And seraph is an angel in uh biblical stories and whatnot.

SPEAKER_04

In Assyrian, it also means otherworldly being.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's like a celestial. It's like a celestial coincidence? I think not. Yes, yes, actually. Uh but I think the wildest thing that comes from this place is uh we get a little bit of time travel going on here, it seems.

SPEAKER_04

Are we talking about time slips? Time slips. So, Mike, I'm gonna roll this into my ho this one and also my very last bullet point, because otherwise I will be talking for four seconds.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, what did you say? Uh you broke out.

SPEAKER_04

Sorry. Um, the time slips as well as like uh some of the deep dives into some of the quote unquote sites. Well, it's gonna take me like 10 seconds total.

SPEAKER_02

That's fine. I still got some Nazi stuff to talk about, so we're good.

SPEAKER_04

I that's what I'm saying. Would you rather talk about the Nazis real quick? Sure, I could do that. So then I take our notches down to like seven levels.

SPEAKER_02

Sure. So cool. As with everything occult, it always comes back to Nazis, dude. Like I hate it, I hate it, but it always comes back to the Nazis. I will say though, well, if it's something to do with Satan, it has something to do with Nazis. Yeah, and I'm not giving a a win, I'm not I'm not giving anything to the Nazis on this, but what I will say, I love the aesthetic of like World War One slash two, like military. The steampunk mixing with the paranormal and the occult.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's the occult steampunk, yes. Yeah, that it's uh fuck, dude, kill zone. Do you remember that video? That game? Yeah, yeah. That whole fucking look.

SPEAKER_02

I love that vibe, that aesthetic of yes, the the stories that come from there of like like uh yeah, like Call of Duty zombies where it's like World War II zombies stuff. Oh god, yeah. I fucking love that stuff.

SPEAKER_04

It's because it's such a giant rumor that the Nazis incorporated the occult with their military, yeah. Like it's such a it's such a good story. That's I don't know, until proven otherwise, it's just a story.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and any anything, anything world war one, world war two, and then you mix in paranormal stuff is such a cool, fascinating vibe to me. There's just so many stories you can tell with that. It's it's incredible.

SPEAKER_04

Have you seen uh the movie Frankenstein's Army? No. Watch, oh my god, oh, you don't like Gorefest, do you? Not really. Never mind. I'll show up now. It's one of the it's one of the most brutal fucking movies I've ever seen, but holy shit, like it hits that vein, though. Yeah, okay. Like it's like Fallout technology meets aliens meets Frankenstein. That's fun shit. I might have to pick it up. We'll see.

SPEAKER_03

I it's it should be free on most things. How yeah. It's not a good movie. Oh yeah. I love that.

Nazi Era Rumors And Rituals

SPEAKER_02

Um, but anyway, back to this weird shit. So the Nazis, back in about 1938, there's uh the Munich Pack pact that was signed, which uh I as someone who's not entirely familiar with it, we're gonna give the most broadest of broad TLDRs here, basically the Munich Pact was signed, which gave a large portion of the Czech Republic over to Germany. So Germany just basically got a whole lot of land. Um in this portion of land that was given over to them in this pact was the Huska castle. Now it is rumored that although the Nazis partook in book burning and uh destroying knowledge. Oh, weird how that sounds. Uh, that's come back. Don't like that, but here we are.

SPEAKER_04

Uh Mike, we can't get modernly political, so I don't think we can talk about the Nazi part. Sorry, I uh I don't make the rules.

SPEAKER_02

You're not wrong. Uh but just try to enforce them. Although they banned books and uh they burned books, they also kept a bunch for like record purposes and uh anything basically having to do with like the occult and religious texts, things like that, they kept in storage. They used the Hoska castle.

SPEAKER_04

Huh? It's where we got the Necronomicon.

SPEAKER_02

And the Goblin Nomicon or Necrogoblicon. Necrogoblicon. Um but the uh they used the Hoska castle, allegedly, as one of these storage facilities for a bunch of religious and occult texts. The uh there are tales that have been told that not only did was this place a storage, uh basically a storage unit for private books and you know, tomes and whatnot, this was also a castle that was used for human experiments. Now I found word of some creepy shit and some vague shit that also happened. The vague shit is that they just did human experiments here. They didn't really go too deep in the the the details, but a lot of them like to uh a lot of people say that the Nazis did like ritualistic sacrifices and torturings of people in these in the castle. Uh other tales wouldn't surprise me. Yeah, other tales show that they tried everything. Yeah. Other tales said that they would bring uh like Polish uh uh prisoners and like German prisoners uh uh here for like breeding purposes, so they could create the air the perfect Aryan children. Eugenics, eugenics, yeah. They basically used eugenics, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And uh eugenics again.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Electric, get a new get a new plot, yeah, but there was there is a pretty high-ranking German officer, uh Himmler, Heinrich Himmler, who was apparently right, it does, right? But he was he was one of Hitler's right hand man, right hand men, apparently. Himmler and Hitler, huh? Himler and Hitler. Sounds like a like a Hitler and a Leo and Peyton spin off. Like he sounds like a 70s. Like Himmler and Hitler, a bunch of rambunctions bunch.

SPEAKER_04

Like, but uh this is absolutely a a fucking series played on adult swim.

SPEAKER_02

A hundred percent. But uh yeah, they the Himmler apparently frequented the castle pretty regularly. And he actually was the lead and headed a bunch of rituals at this castle that they thought would help the Germans win the war.

SPEAKER_04

Uh Hitler Well, that's that's literally all non Nazi occultism was win the war win the war with magic.

SPEAKER_02

Um Right, but Hitler was even uh apparently that there's not much on this, but apparently there's witnesses that claim that Hitler even frequently frequented the castle every now and then and even had a time skip experience here, which Jason will get into time skips a little bit more later, but he apparently had a time skip. Yeah, there's not much to it, but you can kind of piece together what I'll mention it, sure. Do you want me to just say No, I can I'll I'll incorporate it. Okay, no, no worries. Um the weirdest part from this, and I I can't find much that cooperates uh this, but apparently after the war ended, there was a group of children that went into the area, was was playing around the forest, and they stumbled across the uh castle here. And these children actually discovered three Nazi corpses in the castle. Hell yeah. Uh how the how did they know that? There were children. Oh, they they had like their uniform on and everything still. Ah yeah. Uh you know what they're doing. Yeah, good old dead Nazi. You love to see it. Uh good. The old Nazis is good Nazi. Yeah, well, well, good Nazis are dead Nazi. So these bodies were this is gonna get taken off YouTube or whatever, I'm sure. Uh oh, 100%. These bodies considering our overlords are Nazi as fuck, yeah. Right. Uh these bodies were also found under the floorboards. What the fuck these kids were doing under the floorboards is beyond me. But they found these bodies under the floorboard uh in the rooms next to the chapel. Now, it is said that because they were still in uniform and the way that their bodies were found and positioned, that they assumed that they were killed by their own uh like their own people, like their other like they were killed by other Nazis. So people allege that these were like three big guys in the Nazi in the Nazi stuff going on here, and while shit was hitting the fan at one point, a bunch of people tried to leave, these guys stopped them, and those Nazis were like naw, and they shot them so they could escape whatever evil was about to happen.

SPEAKER_04

Uh it's almost like there was infighting.

SPEAKER_02

Wild, right? Um, also other things are like there's like brothels in this area. Um it was just a bad castle when the Nazis came in. Wild how Nazis made it worse. Weird. But that's really it. The Nazis doing anything here, there's not much information on it. It's it's mostly skeptical, or not skeptical, um shit with no basis behind it, uh theories and whatnot. Yeah, yeah, same thing.

Modern Hauntings And Time Slips

SPEAKER_04

Absolutely, and like feeding off that, um there are a lot, a lot of you ready, secondhand accounts um, of paranormal sightings at this castle. You see things like ghostly wailings, uh, you hear things like scratching at the floorboards directly under the the area that closes off the door to hell. Um you hear demonic voices throughout. Um apparently there's ghost sightings like the headless horseman, except instead of a headless horseman, it's a horseless headman.

SPEAKER_02

Horseless headman.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know, man. Yeah. Um, ghost prisoners who are like rattling their chains and screaming obscenities, and then it just fucking stops. Um there's a lot of weird, eerie, paranormal activity here. And part of me thinks that a lot of that has to do with all of the black magic rituals that happens uh with Oranzo, who I even if he didn't let's say black magic doesn't exist. You murdered a bunch of fucking people here, man. Like so many, like uh fuckloads. Yeah, but you were trying to counteract you were trying to counteract the effects of hell via human sacrifice, and then a bunch of Swedish people decided that you were too dangerous to live, so they came and killed you. That's a storied past, man. There's like there's a lot of fucked up shit that happened here, like real fucked up shit that happened here. We just know what it is. We hear the urban legends, we have the ghost stories, we hear the like the everything that just makes this sound way worse than it is because this was again, this is a story that started in 800 AD and ends around 1630, 1640. It goes into the 1900s, everything else being speculation, yeah. Like nobody in the modern world with a modern understanding of this world gave any input to this story whatsoever. So we're we're seeing things like black magic, we're seeing things like Satan, we're seeing things like satanic cults, all that stuff. Well, I don't have enough information to do that, however, the story surrounding all of this is great, plus, it's backed up by personal references. So you can actually book a stay at this place, you can go stay there for a couple nights if you'd like. And there's been a lot of people who have done that since then, and almost every one of them has reported uh a ghostly, like uh headless horse that runs, or headless horse men. Um there's ghostly prisoners that rattle chains and whisper things in their ears. There's just there's a lot of things and a lot of reports of the supernatural, especially the supernatural that that uh points to like mistreatment and just like shitty fucking conditions overall. Um, and I know there's several different types of hauntings, and I know those aren't scientific at all, but this one would definitely be a like an unfinished business via anger haunting. So, like, if you're one of the people that believes in this stuff and you know about the different types of hauntings, this is an area that you don't want to fucking visit because there's a lot of pain and suffering there. But also, none of these reports are verified. So do it that way you will.

SPEAKER_02

Right. I I do want to mention one last little story. I know we're a little cuff for time, but uh I mentioned I got one minute. I know I mentioned time skips before. I just want to mention that one guy mentioned uh had uh story where he basically went through a portal into like essentially now times where he he tells tales of uh metal cities with like metal birds in the sky. You know, you're you're tiny phones in your pocket. Yeah, so he basically came to nowadays and went back and was just like oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

So you have cars, what pretty much.

SPEAKER_04

But I I there's actually a lot. There's there's screaming that you can hear through the hallways. The one that got me the most though is when you're standing in the chapel. Apparently, if you if you close your eyes and you like feel for it, or or you stand there barefoot, you can literally feel like the scratching of creatures or something underneath the floor. Yeah, that's creepy. I'm like, that's fucking wild. That's creepy, so cool. It is really cool.

SPEAKER_02

I I I enjoyed this just because we covered gates of hell in the past, and somehow this one didn't come up on anyone's rape.

SPEAKER_04

No, it was the dude, it was the archaeological gate of hell, yeah. Right. That's what we talked about last time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Which was still cool, but like this was a legit according to history demons flying out portal to hell.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, all the others are just like, oh, it was it was it's creepy.

SPEAKER_03

There is a cave, and it's creepy.

SPEAKER_04

It's a volcano, and the soot that that solidified purely scientific looks like bodies.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but none of that's not scary, man. None of them ever really mentioned demons flying out. That's what I want from a portal of hell. Like this.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, the people that still live there. Oh my god, the current owners, I forget their fucking names. They still report re like winged creatures around the area. It's almost like something demonic is circling but can't get in. And it's almost like whoever built the chapel on top of this fucking hellhole made the right choice. Yeah, or the wrong. I'm not one for this occult shit because I always love to find a logical explanation, but it's fascinating. I don't know, man.

SPEAKER_02

Still fascinating.

SPEAKER_04

This one's weird. This one's weird as shit.

SPEAKER_03

Could you give us a drawing? I don't even know which one that is.

SPEAKER_04
