SPEAKER_00Maybe a couple of the astute of you have put this together as well, but nobody said anything. So I don't know what you guys are doing. Clearly not paying much attention. But the two episodes that were just Jason and Mike, there's a moment in the middle of the first one in the Sudbrink calls where Jason goes, This whole thing. And as I was editing it, I accidentally hit a button and it just started looping that, and it was just like hold, hold, hold, hold. And I was like, Oh, this is funny. So so so I went ahead and just stuck it in there. And so so now in the middle of that episode, Jason just goes, Holth, Holth, Holth, Holth. And and then I was like, Well, this is Holth now. And then I made a and then I made the picture that's on Mike's shirt because that looks like Holth to me. So that's what Holth is now.
SPEAKER_04I thought it was because of the sounds that Mortal Kombat uh well that's what it sounded like to me.
SPEAKER_00I was like, this sounds like a noise that a video game character would make.

I I thought it was an interesting premise, and uh we'll see why the boys think otherwise, apparently. But I'm not gonna let that keep me down. I'm in good spirits today. So House Above Yad!

Why Godzilla Fits Analog Horror
SPEAKER_04for another week. Um boys, like I said, we're talking about Godzilla. Godzilla. And uh yeah, I stumbled across this. Ironically, the one was like the one comment was like, Y'all don't do the algorithm thing. I low-key saw a video that was like, the next big thing in Annova or this revagnetized or something. I'm like, I love me some Godzilla, so this is perfect. Because Man in the Suit was pretty good. That was a pretty solid one.
SPEAKER_02So the video you saw was like the fucking movie phone guy.
SPEAKER_04Probably, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because that's pretty good.
SPEAKER_04Well, he's out of job, he's got to do something with his time now. Um, but I like Man in the Suit. I love Godzilla just in general. So if I can find more Godzilla like analog horrors or like more Godzilla content, I'm fucking gonna. I got some Godzilla short films that whenever we I eventually want us to do an episode where we just talk about short films that we find online. I found a Godzilla one that's very good. I want to talk about that one. I just love Godzilla, so I'm gonna put you guys through this as well. Okay, I also love Godzilla.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I was gonna say more than I thought it would be funny. I'm really happy you didn't.
SPEAKER_01Well, where do we start if not the beginning, boys? The very beginning. Um, yeah, I guess we could do that. Um, so if you are gonna what? So that's good. I guess we could do that. That's good. We could, I guess we could. We don't have to, but we're gonna. Um so I'm gonna go ahead and go over episodes one and two, and I'm gonna do them in a way that smashes them both together. Simply because if you were to try and look up a way to watch this, you would have to go out of your way real quick to watch the first two episodes because they are behind a paywall, or you can find the quote unquote remastered edition. It just they just mash it together into one nine-minute and 43-second video.
SPEAKER_04Um and they so I found the original two, they redid the art and everything, and the um they redid voices, they they they kept the same information, but the way that it is now makes more sense. The the first two they were going more into the horror, but it kind of it the audio the audio quality wasn't that great, the imagery was kind of weird. Um they got Sonic bullied.
SPEAKER_00They did not fix their their spelling of San Francisco, though.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but all in all, this did not fix that.
SPEAKER_00Maybe it's no, it's not because well, maybe there's two different places, but in later in the episodes, it's correct.
SPEAKER_04So yeah, but they uh it also trims some fatty bits that it doesn't need. The first two original ones are a bit longer than these ones, so they definitely did remaster it and made it a bit more palatable.
Episodes One And Two Recap
SPEAKER_01Okay, so they they yeah, they made it just more digestible, is what I'm hearing. Yep, yep, yep. Um, so the first thing we're gonna see is a big old logo with the letter C O D C, which stands for the Colossal Organism Defense uh Coalition. Center, sorry, Defense Center. Um and apparently this is this is an organization that's all about reporting on, diagnosing, and planning for colossal organisms that might have an effect on the earth. And one of the things we first see is a huge concentration of radiation right off the right on the coast of America, you know, in California, around San Fran San San Francisco is uh is where this takes place. Um, and we are told all about like a mass uh a mass die-off of extremely distorted and decayed fish, where um you'll see different images of fish that whose bodies have been contorted, their mouths have been spun around like 180 degrees, they just look something out of a Lovecraftian nightmare.
SPEAKER_00I'll explain to you by a character from Chainsaw Man.
SPEAKER_01I'll explain I'll explain to you by a character from Chainsaw Man. Um, actually, no, the so this first part is just uh an infomercial, but we do get into uh the investigation of these different separate instances of necrosis in biological life, um, especially concentrated right around around the site of San Francisco. And yes, we do start hearing from uh fuck, what's her name? Um actually, I don't know if they tell her name in this one. So we get a female narrator um who is basically going over all of the the details of certain incidents that happened in 1954. Okay, Iris Caldwell. Okay, oh yeah, there it is. Thank you. Um she starts narrating a um an event that happened in 1954 that resulted in the death slash termination of a subject known as Gojira, or Godzilla, as we know it, in Tokyo in 1954, terminated by Dr. Daisuke Sarizawa. And so it starts to go over some of the the info and details surrounding the the eventual the final death and takedown of Godzilla or Gojira, depending on what part of the world you're in. Um, the conclusion of all of this um and the findings that were taken of a post-death um sweep, I guess, it says there's a high probability of reappearance of a similar unidentified colossal organism. So basically, what they're saying is that this radiation concentration, as well as along with the death of this giant organism, has created perfect conditions for almost a re-emergence of something. And they request they uh they highly recommend that citizens and residents in the nearby area evacuate. Um, so they dispatch the military uh to investigate the San Francisco coast. And after this happens, we get a uh an audio log from Iris Caldwell herself saying this is not a report uh for herself. Um it's more or less and it's she's trying to go over what's actually happening and keep this report and keep reality in check. What she's saying is that they they couldn't cover up anything, they couldn't hide anything when they they discovered this radiation source off the coast of San Francisco. Um there's a bunch of dead fish with twisted tissue, there's a bunch of radiation spikes that doesn't actually behave like radiation should. Um and the samples they're taking are matching things that should have stayed in 1954, aka Godzilla. Um some of the tissues and bone samples that have been brought back seem to match the same structure as the kaiju that was spotted around Tokyo in 1954. Um and she does make the distinction, she says similar, not identical, because there are differences in the tissues, there's differences in um a lot of the ways that this sample is behaving, as well as the radiation is behaving as compared to the original Godzilla sample. And uh she talks more, huh?
SPEAKER_04Plus the original dead.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, yeah, in 1954. So as far as we knew, this this kaiju Godzilla is dead. Um eventually we get to uh it's a long, long break of silence, and we hear when the ocean goes quiet, something is listening. And we get a cut and a bunch of glitches, and we get a rendering of what looks like a like a sea kelp and tissue draped version of Godzilla, the spines coming off his back and everything, glowing kind of in red, roaring just like you would. Oh, it's so good.
SPEAKER_04It's very Shin Godzilla.
SPEAKER_01It's very Shin Godzilla filmed. Absolutely. I love that movie. Um, and we get another quick cut, and we see a bunch of like blue glowing around Godzilla's spines and spikes, basically like teasing us that whatever this is is starting to breach the surface, starting to come out of water, maybe maybe for the first time. And these bluish glows are radiating off this thing's back, and it starts to distort the camera a whole bunch. We see a bunch of glitches, and then we see a close-up of Godzilla's face to where his his mouth and eyes start glowing almost like a white fire. Um, he get lets out this giant roar. Sorry, she lets out this giant roar and uh cut back again to a full body shot showing this like blue fire all across her back to where she kind of submerges. We get a very quick cut back to a classical painting. Um, it's actually a famous class classical, I forget the name of it. Um Saturn eating his uh yes son. It's it's so it's it's of Saturn eating his son. Um there's I think there's an Italian name for it. I can't remember what it is.
SPEAKER_04It's a Saturn eating his son.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you've got it. Um which is cultural. In this reference, it's it's kind of linking some of the deities that we might have prayed to in you know, way back when to this beast-like kaiju that lives beneath the waves. Um, maybe equating Godzilla to the god of Saturn. Who knows? There might be a D uh a geological reference here. Um get the comparison, we get a bunch more glitches. Um, and then we go back to like this this uh the computerized voice that's almost like an analysis of the situation. And one of the things that was recognized was this giant spike of radiation, not over San Francisco, but just off the coast, that then expanded over San Francisco, and it says radioactive energy approximated 80 megatons discharged from oral cavity. Now, if any of us know anything about Godzilla, atomic breath is is pretty pretty canonical to this one creature, and so apparently what happened here is this atomic breath was let loose across the entirety of San Francisco. Um that's why they changed the name later on because he obliterated San Francisco destroyed, and it wasn't like there was anything left, like the the structures that were there were completely reduced to like molecular components, they were disassembled, they were uh just disintegrated, obliterated, and there's this giant scar across the coast from where this being decided to breathe an atomic breath across it. Um, the casualties apparently are very impossible to estimate, however, they are expected to be in the hundreds of thousands, which makes sense because that's I mean, it's think about like nine atomic bombs going off all at once. Um and again, after this happened, we see more uh high energy signatures off the coast, almost like something is building, and we see it in the form of like this colossal kaiju, this dinosaur, this Godzilla. Um big lizard. Big lizard. Apparently the entire coast has been has been now designated as a high irradiation contamination zone. Um, and the government has been looking for authorization to just nuke it. Just fucking fire a nuke, get rid of it, hopefully. If not, it's not habitable anyway. So Been looking for a stone.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, power from its throat.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, give it 10 real quick.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, just hit it with a bomb. That'll work. Yeah.
SPEAKER_0110 megatons will probably do a lot against something that can breathe 80. Yeah, 100%. Um, after this happens, we don't get like actual confirm confirmation that they get clearance to nuke it. We do jump over to uh the personal log of COD CODC agent Iris Caldwell, which is who we heard from before, which is uh the uh um the chainsaw man reference that you will always find because everyone and their mother thinks that this looks like uh one of the one of the characters from Chainsaw Man, and I'm not gonna lie, she does. I never seen she starts talking in like these really cryptic messages, saying things like I wrote the number and felt nothing. Um and she's referencing like authorization to nuke a whole coast of a country, and the fact that she said yes and felt nothing is a whole symptom of the disease that's inhabiting her. Um she talks about how the city wasn't exactly destroyed, it was erased, there's no there's nothing left of it. We keep saying silent, as if silent means safety. However, the signal is rising, um, like something inhaling, preparing to speak again. And again, she reiterates the fact that they got permission for nuclear strike. Uh, they did not give permission, so we chose a weapon because we ran out of words. We couldn't we could not give it diplomacy, we couldn't give it any of these other things. No, they didn't. It's it's in it's in the ocean. They didn't send a boat, they said Aquaman nuke.
SPEAKER_04Let's let's Aquaman can talk to Godzilla. Godzilla is an aquatic creature.
SPEAKER_00Load about six billionaires up into a submarine and dump them down there and see what's going on.
SPEAKER_01There you go. Yeah, there you go. Perfect. That's our diplom diplomatic structure is six billionaires in a tube.

SPEAKER_01Um, after this happens, we uh we start to see some effects of this attack on a major city. We see um evacuation orders, we see people huddled in school gymnasiums, um, almost like a like a bomb shelter routine. Um and then we get a quote from Isaiah 41 10 that says, Do not fear, for I am with your, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
SPEAKER_04After that, we get some then you get a verse from Michael 3 18 that just says, That's a big lizard.
SPEAKER_01That's a big ass lizard, bitch. That's a big ass lizard. Um, but no, we get like a a fresco, and like this is the painting that that we see, like this is an impressive uh piece of artwork.
SPEAKER_04I'm more of a phantogy.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. No, no fresco for you. No, I like my squirt. Um it's a it's a six.
SPEAKER_06Never mind.
SPEAKER_01So this is a it's a a left-to-right painting. So on the left hand side, we see a um a bunch of uh like a wing with a bunch of eyeballs embedded into it. And for me, that symbolizes biblical angels, right? Because that's similar to how angels are represented in the Bible. From there, we see it attached to this three-headed serpent, which to me references the hydra from the Bible that might be attached to a fallen angel. And in the background, we see a depiction of what we what we can only assume are events that happen on Earth. The first one being a mushroom cloud, nuclear warfare, or Godzilla rising from the ocean and spreading radioactivity all over the world. The second one we get is this lizard being devouring what looks like the entirety of humanity, or at least the damned part of humanity. Um eventually that shifts into like this praying. It's a bunch of people praying to a golden winged creature, and again, looks like a biblical version of angels. Um it's a heart. It is a heart, yes. We see uh angels being cast out from the clouds, and the very last thing we see is a symbol of a two-tailed, a spined, two-tailed, winged, three-headed creature. Now, if anyone knows anything about the lore of Godzilla, this is in reference to the monstrosity Ghidorah, uh, which is a three-headed dragon. Um after we get this fresco, we go cut back to this the Colossal Organism Defense Center um text, and it's all about a classified report that is uh labeled Operation Gojira Termination. Now it starts to go over uh yeah, I know Operation Kill It. Operation Go Fuck yourself. Um it just it's a it's a report on how like different necroses and regeneration cycles have been confirmed throughout the different parts of Gojira or Godzilla. Um, we go over nuclear detonation day because apparently, even though we didn't get authorization, we are still going to use nukes. Um so we launch a nuke at the body, and severe swelling was detected. However, the spine started glowing, and a massive energy burst occurred right after we hit it with a nuke. Um this seems like it did the opposite of what we wanted because there was no more remote visual observation. We couldn't see what was going on. It's almost like the radiation and power levels were over 9,000. Um there was a new unknown energy reaction detected inside the dispersed matter that was dispersed by the nuke that we dropped. When exposed to atmospheric oxygen, it triggered a violent oxidation which melted and dissolved all types of organic life that were involved with the reaction. The subject was then restored to previous form and started heading east. So basically, what we've learned from this is if you nuke Godzilla, all it's gonna do is come back stronger. It's like a Saiyan warrior.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and that's also just how it is in the movies, too.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, for sure. You give it radiation, it's gonna take that radiation and breathe it at you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he literally feeds on radiation. Right.
SPEAKER_01Like that's yeah, it's good good job, everybody. Um after that, we get to the end of this report. Um, one of the last things that we're gonna see, and this is the last part of the video, uh, is it it's almost like it reads kind of like a uh like a call to action from a government or something like that. And it says, We have all suffered great wounds from the creature the world calls Gojira. The world has been swallowed by fear and death, and Gojira does not stop. Um now it is time to protect ourselves to fight. God is with us. The heart of an angel has come to us. This is the heart of the Seraphim Ghidorah, and it shows a picture of that heart, the winged heart that we saw earlier. Um, and we learned this to be a sigil of Ghidorah. Come to, and then we glitch out, can't see what it says. Receive the blessing of the Seraphim, um, join us, walk with God, the church of Ghidorah, and we go through a whole bunch of uh different images that it's the same fresco we saw earlier, and it focuses on certain points of it, like the damned being eaten by Godzilla, the nuclear like fallout, um, just all about death, and then we focus on the the winged heart, um, and eventually back to the sigil of Ghidorah. And after that, we kind of fade out to black as this epic Gregorian chant leads us out. But after that, that's about it. That's episodes one and two.
SPEAKER_00And then it says, And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. Ezekiel 25, 17.

Ghidorah Revealed And The Cult Forms

So epithet with like a little glitch, and and it's just like a frame or two, and if you pause and you go frame by frame, and you do the thing, you'll get to this fucking picture, this this thing that's like this fucking dragon that we've kind of seen before. It's a three-headed dragon. It's Ghidorah. Yeah, it's that, yeah. You are right, Jason. You're very correct. So Jason said this this name in the last episode, but this is where we get confirmation that this thing is indeed indeedamently called Ghidorah. So um the rest of this video is kind of just it's just a fucking briefing with a bunch of text that you read. There's really not a whole lot going on visually here.

SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's great. Um, and so we get a briefing from the CODC, the Colossal Organism Defense Center. It's an internal report about the Ghidorah phenomenon. Phenomena.

SPEAKER_00So we learn that in some towns, some town called Redacted, everybody apparently had a like a mass simultaneous vision. And in this vision, an angelic being with three heads resembling a dragon um appeared to them. And this thing is called Ghidorah. And some of these people also apparently suffered from a severe fever, and then it started spreading, and this vision spread it out from the center of the town. Also, at the time that this vision occurred to everybody, a glowing entity called the heart of the Seraphim Ghidorah appeared inside the local church church. So we see a painting of this thing, and it's like the twitch.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so now we need a shirt that's a torch on it. Twitch. We got Holf and Short. Holf Twitch.
SPEAKER_03Me and me and Mike will eventually get to our word, but this is the fucking this is the Discord spear and like prism and square thing all over the game. Oh god.
SPEAKER_00Cylinder all over again. A pyramid torch. Um anyway. So this thing looks like an anatomically correct heart with wings. We've seen this thing before in the paintings that Jason was talking about in his episode. Also, if you don't know, a serif is a type of angel. So there's like different orders of angels in the Bible. Seraphim are the top chops. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01How fucked up is that? There's an there's a hierarchy of god godly beings.
SPEAKER_02Like, are you kidding? Right. I think seraphims are the ones that are usually depicted as like the biblically accurate angel like images you see. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Those are like seraphims which is kind of what this thing's got going on.
SPEAKER_00It's like eyes all over the fucking place and wings that are growing out of a heart. It's very yeah, reminiscent of that.

SPEAKER_00Right. So apparently no physical evidence that this thing actually was there in the church was ever found. But the people who originally experienced this event, they say that they can still see this thing hanging out there in the church. And all these people have decided to start a cult. And they call this the Church of Ghidorah. And then we get an interview from a priestess from this church, and this lady starts talking about what she saw during the vision, and she starts talking about seeing Ghidorah, and that she believes that this is somehow connected to Gojira, and it's she explains that Gojira is actually Satan. The red dragon. And then she explains that no human weapon can kill Satan himself, and only God can judge Satan, and that's why the nukes don't work on him. So to actually defeat this thing, we have to serve God to protect us from Gojira. Then she goes on to explain that Ghidorah is actually a manifestation of Michael Gabriel and Raphael, who are the archangels or archangels from the Bible, and that they have been sent together as this one unit to strike down Gojira. And apparently the rapture is coming, and only those faithful to Ghidorah are going to survive the rapture. It's really kind of just laying out all the things that Jason went into with like the depiction of the different stages in the art that was at the end of his video. The prophecy. Yeah, then we're shown a bunch more paintings of Ghidorah and the Rapture, and then there's like a Titan in there at some point, like this gigantic human who's just walking around. Not really any explanation of what's going on there, but that's kind of it.
SPEAKER_04I think it's I think it's supposed to just be showing like this is above like human comprehension or something. I think it's just supposed to be like giants are roaming the world now. Like we have lizard and dragon and shit's all fun.

The Phenomenon Spreads And Ascension
SPEAKER_02Uh starts off with the colossal organism defense center logo, as per usual, and the text, the Ghidorah phenomenon, uh pops up and it says it has now spread to hundreds of thousands of individuals, with the majority converging on the Ghidorah Church in Redacted. Uh those affected refer to themselves as the chosen and proclaim that the time of the rapture has come. Uh basically, these people are showing extreme aggression and fanatical behavior when tried to be subdued. Uh, the area around the church can no longer be controlled as it's a mass gathering zone, is what they're calling it. Uh, just a heads up, this is like all just text on a screen right now. Um so it says uh these people have basically abandoned everything, they are no longer, you know, tending to their families, doing their jobs, etc. And they're dropping everything to do the ritual of ascension. Always with the ascensions, you know what I'm saying? Um, but so these people are policemen. Yeah, policemen, firemen, doctors, they're all showing signs of this, and they have joined the church. Um basically, local uh like local anyone uh who can do anything about this. Uh basically all their local resources are dwindling, um, and they they just can't control it. Nobody's there to do anything about it anymore. Uh containment of anyone showing signs needs to be isolated. Basically, they start telling you like what needs to happen uh to like stop what's going on, but again, they've pretty much just told us that nothing can be done. But, anyways, it says containment of anyone showing these signs need to be isolated. Uh, we have started censorship on any media to spread like sermons or online content about the church, uh, to you know, other parts of the internet, they've been trying to censor that, and then we get end of report. It then cuts to uh basically some like moving images. Uh, we see a bunch of uh like little people kind of standing around a big glowing cross, and then it cuts to some other other uh some other images. Uh we see a bunch of people, and then this like kind of like glowing orb. I don't really know what to call it, but uh basically it's just this big blob floating in the sky, and then we get the image of a big black bob.

SPEAKER_02God damn it. All right, so there's a blob in the sky, and uh God blob it. It's sitting over the cross, and then you see Ghidorah come flying out of it, and he looks pretty darn cool. Um, and that's where that video ends. It's pretty short. Okay, so this this is gonna be a good one, actually. Don't don't just bear with me, all right.
Emergency Alerts And Survival Rules
SPEAKER_02This is the most analogue video or analog horror video in the whole bunch of them, right? And uh hopefully my notes do this justice, okay. So it starts off with the emergency alert system. That that like golden like blob or whatever they're talking about in the sky, I think it's just supposed to be like a golden light shining down. Because if you watch like a videos of it, yeah, if you watch the videos, it's people rising up and they just like become a bloody mass. That's not a black cloud, it's everyone it's their blood, like it's just a giant black cloud or of like a bloody cloud. It's just them. Their blood that people were eviscerated and they became a cloud that the amount of bursts out of.

Why anyone's doing this in the first place, I feel like doesn't like warrant this being said. Like, you shouldn't touch the magical bullshit flying out of Godzilla. Um, so yeah. If if you do touch it, exposure's irreversible, and you're dead. Um so Godzilla, so they cut over, they show Godzilla, uh, and like we said in the beginning, it looks kind of like Shin Godzilla. Um, but he's kind of in it's like Shin Godzilla if he was the big fat version of himself in our movies. Like Cell blowing himself up. Think Hellraiser and Frank's not quite human yet. Um it says uh the Ghidorah survival protocol has been activated. Power and communication networks will be disabled following this message. Ghidorah's in Ohio.

SPEAKER_04It's also they they mention it's also Ghidorah's like sending out signals. That's what the roar is. A roar is a signal that is manipulating people's brains.

Priestess Tapes And Cognitive Infection
SPEAKER_00This episode is 11 minutes long.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's 11 minutes of bullshit, too, and I'm gonna condense it down to like a minute and a half. So this is just audio logs from the priestess from the cult that we were talking about earlier. Of Ghidorah, which doesn't really my first question is like with the first thing, why did she feel the need to like whip out a tape recorder or whatever and record this? But anyway, the first audio log is basically just her crying. Uh apparently this tape is from before Ghidorah showed up. So she's asking God why Gojira evaporated her son Jacob. Why would he let that happen? And then she cries for like two minutes.
SPEAKER_02Hey God. Why'd you evaporate Jacob?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's pretty fucked up. And then there's a second audio log, and this is her talking about receiving a vision from Ghidorah, and then she goes over again, like that Ghidorah appeared to her, and he's apparently this is God answering her prayers as repayment for Jacob dying. I'm gonna be really honest with you guys, I'm gonna be really honest with you guys. I thought this whole thing was, or at least this video was super fucking cringe. Just I I had a very difficult time making it through this.
SPEAKER_02I did not watch this episode. I skipped through it as soon as I was like, this is 11 minutes of her talking, and I like scrolled the thing past, and I could just see her fucking head the whole time.
SPEAKER_00I went, nope, absolutely not anyway. She believes that Gojera's attack was actually preparation for a war between heaven and hail. Hail.
SPEAKER_07Heaven and hail.
SPEAKER_00Heaven and hail. Then she like she's like very clearly breaking up and having in the in like becoming crazier as this is going on, and she like gives a crazy cackle. How about we just skip most of the 11 minutes of this, and I'll just summarize this whole thing by just reading the summary that is given to us at the end of the video in case you didn't actually listen to the whole audio log. The audio log demonstrates that the Ghidorah phenomenon is not merely a form of religious belief or a mass illusion, rather, it represents a progressive cognitive restructuring process characterized by the following sequence personal loss, religious interpretation, fixed conviction, and perceived command. Which basically just means that this whole thing is people going crazy over some shit that they perceive as religious events. And this is a current situation summary. Ghidorah and Gojira are projected to be to collide within the western United States. Affected regions have been sealed over. However, man mandatory evacuation has not been enacted due to catastrophic casualty rates along projected movement paths. Deployment of defensive or rescue personnel along either entity's route is currently assessed as non-viable. Also, I'm not the only one that was exasperated because the first the pinned comment says, okay, can we actually see the fight for once? You're continuing to tease us.
SPEAKER_04You never will. Well, shall I shall I move us into mine? Please. Episode seven, the last, the last seven.
The Final Fight And The Signal
SPEAKER_04The last one. Uh we go into it. Also, I think I mentioned this before, but just in case it gets cut, this is from Toolzilla. We never mentioned the guy's name on the front. So hi, Toolzilla. Anyway, so episode seven. We start off with this like uh older music. It's Beethoven Beethoven's sympathy number nine, Oh to joy.
SPEAKER_01But it's in like Russian or something.
SPEAKER_04It's very weird. Um we see Godzilla looking up at the golden sky, and we hear something roaring up there. Godzilla roars and his spikes glow a gold. He roars again. Ghidorah comes down from the heavens and just fucking straight up pierces Godzilla, just stabs right into him. Uh Godzilla's eyes go white and an explosion occurs. Just a big old uh we then see Ghidorah uh with just looking dope as shit, just eyes on all his wings, like like we've been saying, he's a seraphim, he looks like a bibliaccurate angel boy. He just looks dope as fuck. And this is when Godzilla and Ghidorah are about to have their standoff. Godzilla charges up his atomic blast uh and lets it loose, and we see the whole atomic blast. I really like the little details on this when he shoots it. You see blood come out with it, and I think that looks badass as hell. And Ghidorah makes this like black hole appear out of nowhere, and it just starts absorbing the atomic blast, which I'm pretty sure is supposed to be a reference to Ghidorah's gravity beams in the show because he has gravity beams or in the movie, I mean. Um but uh so it just like absorbs it into this black hole, and Godzilla just runs out of atomic blast, and afterwards he just coughs up like fucking pools of blood. Um the black hole then like turns into three black holes uh like on top of each of Ghidorah's heads, essentially. And Ghidorah starts to rise above Godzilla in the sky. He basically is about to do some shit like that. Um actually kind of more or less swords of revealing lights, Godzilla. Oh, like the god the black holes turn into these stars that kind of resemble like the the North Star like crosses, kind of um that very one. Uh Godzilla roars out of anger at at Ghidorah, and these like three stars that the black holes turn into just pierce Godzilla. Like one goes straight through his fucking head, the other goes straight through his like necks and shit, and then he just explodes. Um we then hit good fuck that guy.
SPEAKER_05Hey, fuck that guy, hey, fuck that guy.
SPEAKER_04We uh everybody liked that. Uh we then cut to a national service announcement uh that claims Godzilla is now dormant inside of a sphere and he can't escape. Uh we're safe now, which is kind of cool. But in order to ensure public stability and restore daily life, please keep your eyes on the screen and listen to the audio. And the audio that occurs on the screen is that same roar that Ghidorah has been doing this entire time, which is his roar from the shows. It's very weird. It's like it sounds kind of like dial up, it's very strange. Um but uh and that's how it is in the movie, too. I always thought it was ridiculous sounding, it's very very silly. Um text starts coming on the screen saying things like the great king has achieved victory, the great king is proclaimed the millennial kingdom, which is a reference to the millennial age of uh of uh uh Godzilla films, which is the more relatively recent one. So it was from like 2000 to like 2005-ish. Um but uh I I think that's what they're referencing there.
SPEAKER_00And the millennial kingdom was like a pack sun.
SPEAKER_04Um please synchronize with the king's signal, they say, and receive the king's light. Hear his song, salvation has come, worship King Ghidorah, praise him. Uh and then black. And then at the end, we hear a new call at the end, a new roar. It's it's it's faint, but you hear it, and it sounds like Mothra's roars from the movies. So I think we're gonna see uh Mothra coming into play here.
SPEAKER_02A flash I can't wait to not watch that.
SPEAKER_04Which does happen not only in ironically, does this not only happen in other Godzilla and analog horror things like Man in Soup, but in Godzilla films, uh Mothra really doesn't come into play until Godzilla dies, and then Mothra usually resurrects Godzilla and brings him back.
SPEAKER_02Um but that's where we kind of the original Mothra. Huh? You've seen the original Mothra movie?
SPEAKER_04Uh not the not the straight up Mothra movie, no, just the Mothra stuff in the Godzilla movie. So bad. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I've seen bits where it's just basically just a fucking thing on a string just flying around.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's well, you don't even see Mothra. I'm sorry, I'm tangenting, but you don't even see Mothra until like the very end of the movie for like a couple minutes. It's like a fucking fucking time. The whole thing is just talking about its egg or whatever, isn't it? Or the water? It's the original one is a rough watch, but it paves the path for other cool Mothra shit.

Who Is The Real Villain
SPEAKER_04where we end. Uh Godzilla just pray. Now, just a few things I want to talk about before we get into what we think of this. I just want to bring up um it seems like Ghidorah is the salvation or whatever, and Godzilla is you know Satan incarnate, but in that's usually not the case. Ghidorah is typically the villain in a lot of these things, and Godzilla is the savior. Now, they could be going one of two ways. One, uh, Godzilla originally was a villain, he is a horror monster after all, so they might be sticking to that and keeping him as a villain and having Ghidorah be the good guy for a change. It has happened kind of one other time, I think. There's uh there's a movie where Godzilla is basically the reincarnation of a bunch of World War II Japanese soldiers like spirits, and they just go on a fucking rampage because they're angry ghosts, and Ghidorah comes down to like stop him, but Godzilla just kind of murks his ass. You could kind of, I guess, argue that Ghidorah was kind of being the good guy in that one. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02But let my other let me just say there's some weird canon, not canon events that happen in a lot of Godzilla movies. Yeah, it is strange and doesn't make a whole lot of sense most of the time.
SPEAKER_00I don't think I did a very good job of uh portraying this with my videos, but it's like heavily it's heavily hinted throughout the interviews with the cult lady that like she's crazy.

SPEAKER_00And I think it's pretty much suggested.
SPEAKER_01I think we're supposed to this is like from the perspective of somebody who identifies with the not good party, aka uh Ghidorah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so as it's seeming like Ghidorah is everybody seems to be on his side, but he's actually not he's actually the bad guy here.
SPEAKER_01He's Hydra, he's the the devil's serpent, if you will.
SPEAKER_04There there have been people in the comments that are kind of saying the same thing as I am, where they're where they basically say that Ghidorah is Satan because he's got a an objective here, he's got like a plan, whereas Godzilla in this case is more the wrath of God, where he's not taking sides, it's just he's destroying humanity because humanity has destroyed so much. It's basically God's revenge on humanity. And I kind of what I think is gonna happen here is Godzilla's dead, but Mothra is gonna come back come by and bring him back to life, uh, much like Jesus, Jesus came back to life three days later. But we're gonna see the millennial Godzilla come out of this, where he's more he looks more like the millennial Godzilla, hence why they said the millennial kingdom. I think we're gonna get a different design Godzilla out of this that's more you know what we're accustomed to seeing. But right now, I think he's just pure wrath of God.
SPEAKER_01Even if they don't like actually create a um a set of videos to like describe this, the like the insinuation at the end of this is that you know where you are taking it from the the vantage point of somebody who is kind of an indoctrinated or brainwashed by this cult, and you're so it's supposed to try and convince you that Ghidorah is the salvation, meanwhile everyone else, it looks like they're trying to quell the problem, quote unquote, which is Godzilla. And I don't I think this is this is a story taken from the vantage point of of a group of people who are against Godzilla for whatever reason.
SPEAKER_02I think I think what I don't know what I got from a lot of this is I feel like they were trying to retell some already sort of done Godzilla stories, but they really wanted to just like be like, what could what biblical stuff can we put in here, right? Yes, um, and to Jason's point, I guess I think the the C doc or the C O D C or whatever, uh I think they're impartial. I think they're just like, Yeah, there's two big kaijus, and here's what you do to stay safe. Um because otherwise, I mean all the all the religious shit is is done in like the imagery and then the the priestess ladies kind of rants, but um I don't know. I just uh I don't think Godzilla needed an analog horror aspect to it.
SPEAKER_00I think it was uh it's a whole genre now, my man.

Ratings And What Worked

SPEAKER_00I'm giving this a three, and the only reason it's getting three points from me is because the art is pretty good. And it it's like it the the artist the and the um Ghidorah are like hand-drawn and look pretty cool. Um and that's pretty nifty. The their final fight scene is kind of visually neat for the whole two minutes it lasts. The rest of this I absolutely despised. And and I seem to there seem to be a ton of people who really enjoy this. The c it's there's comments on all the videos where people are like, this is great. I love this. This is amazing. And that's amazing that's great for you guys. This is not my thing at all in any way, shape, or form. And I could have lived the my entire life without having to watch this.
SPEAKER_01See, I'll do the the opposite end of what Matt's saying. Like, I can't I can't ignore like the attempts at uh religious storytelling, you know what I mean? Like explaining certain religious events through kaijus, which is a wild fucking sentence all by itself. However, and on top of that, we see it not only not from the like the vantage point of someone who supports Godzilla, arguably like the protagonist in those series movies. You're taking it almost from like a cultist vantage point, someone who's trying to root for a Ghidorah. And so you see like the opposite end of that. And so in that respect, I I really enjoyed that. I just wish there was more substance, because fuck there is no substance. It's the same, it's like it's the same thing every video, it's the same reaffirmations. And so if you were able to get more than that and like build it up to that exact same fight scene, great. But I don't know. It was hard to get behind being a cultist of Ghidorah and feeling good about it.

SPEAKER_02Um, I'm I'm kind of in the same boat as Matt. I'm giving it one point for it being Godzilla. I'm giving it a second point for the anime like the art that was actually, you know, used to do it, and then I'm giving it a third point because this person took the time out of their life to make this thing. I'm giving it a three out of ten because they made an effort to make something, and I don't like to yuck people's yum. And if people like this, that's awesome. This isn't for me. I feel like they have I feel like there was they could have done anything other than Godzilla, and it would have maybe been a little bit better. I don't I I think the biblical ties to the kaiju stuff doesn't really work in its favor at all. I felt like it was like kind of silly. Like, I don't know. It just they didn't talk enough about like the people who were like becoming turned. They were just like, Yeah, these people are turned, and now they're gonna go fly up into hell. Now, um I feel like they could have done more with like if they wanted to have it be analog horror, I feel like they could have maybe filmed some like real stuff, like with real people. Um I know that's hard to say when they drew the like Godzilla and Ghidorah, but like it felt like it needed some like on footage aspect to it to make it work, and I don't think when you have like a kaiju thing like this, it doesn't work with PowerPoint, like it just doesn't work. Like I can't get past the analog horror portion of this, and I like analog horror for the most part. I seem to be very critical of it nowadays, but I think that these two things combined did not work, and it just it just fell flat for me, and that's unfortunate because I love Godzilla and Godzilla accessories and whatnot.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, yeah, I think you bring up a good point, and a large part of why this doesn't work for me is like the art and everything with the the kaiju fights and stuff is pretty cool. Um, and then the analog, it seems an odd choice to combine it with the like presentation style analog horror stuff that it's combined with. If you cut just the fights and the art out and found some other way to tell the story around it, you could rescue this for me. I like I don't want to disparage this person from making something and obviously putting a great deal of care and time into something that obviously a lot of people enjoy. I think that's great, but this is not for me at all.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Big emphasis on whoever made this. Your art is really, really good. You should not stop doing art. I think you're very talented. I think if you wanted to tell a story with Godzilla, you could do that in such a different way where it's not analog horror and it would work a lot better.

SPEAKER_04I'm a hard four. Um no, I I I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the art. I liked the premise. I know you were saying you didn't really care for the whole like biblical aspect of that. I thought that was very creative personally. I don't think I don't think we've seen that before. I don't I think Godzilla being a biblical like disaster makes sense. Because if you look at it, we look at it from the aspect of like Godzilla that we know now and the movies and the shows that we've seen where they kind of play him up as like like in the 60s and 70s, he's like doing fucking he's dancing and shit. He's not really a menace, but like in this, if you saw Godzilla in the real world, he's a fucking 300-foot-tall lizard destroying cities, you would think that's the wrath of God coming down on you or some shit. So making it like a biblical thing, I think, is a very fun approach to Godzilla. And I like the little bits of like I guess not lore, but I like how they even did that with the other like Ghidorah, for example, where the lady was like, Oh, Ghidorah is the combination of the three archangels. I'm like, that's a good idea, that's really fun, actually. I think that's really cool. Um, yeah, there's I it it it does fall into a bunch of the analog horror tropes, which I think it can navigate out of, like you guys are saying.
SPEAKER_01A lot of that's not that shit.
SPEAKER_04Like, yeah, a lot of that's probably not needed. I think you gotta you you gotta lean one way or the other. If you're gonna go action heavy and cool ass art, you gotta lean more into that. If you're gonna info dump, then you go with the slideshow route, but I don't think you can have that cake and eat it too. Um Matt, you look like you got something to say.
SPEAKER_00I think what you're saying could be true if it wasn't if this hadn't been analog horror. Because what you're saying about taking Godzilla and making it biblical, it feels really obvious to me in the context that it's been presented. Because this is such a tropey analog horror thing to be like, oh, God is making this thing happen to all these people and God be with you and like the feet right, it feels very boilerplate to me. And I think you could make Godzilla the the biblical story in a way that it felt fresh and interesting if it hadn't been condensed into this format that it already uses that as a chart so often.
SPEAKER_04Yep. If they were to navigate away from doing like the slideshow stuff and do more of like um do more of like a um what's it called, like a Vita Carnas or something like that, where they do like a faux documentary type thing, or like in engine type of stuff where it's got that more you know what I'm talking about? Like there's there's Godzilla short films out there. This would make a really good short film.
SPEAKER_01Like found foot found footage. It doesn't even necessarily have to be found footage. Almost like uh Cloverfield, honestly. They could have taken literal solid clips from Cloverfield and injected it into this, and it would have made it feel more real.
SPEAKER_04It doesn't even necessarily have to be that, but like for example, there's a um there's a Godzilla short film called Shelter 54, I think it is. Yeah, shelter 54. This would do really good in that kind of style choice where it's more of like a film, but I don't I I mean this person might not have had the capability of doing that, and you know what? It may be in a weird slideshow y analog horror theme, but the fact that you gave me some fun concepts, some fun ideas, some fun art. I'm all I'm all here for it. I thought this was strong. There wasn't a point in there. I can think of a dozen different analog horrors that I thought shit the bed way worse than this did. I thought this was pretty pretty fine. Yes, Matt, you said it was boilerplate, but boilerplate isn't necessarily bad, it's just can be generic. You know what I mean? Yeah, so I I'm giving it a six, I'm giving it a six and a half is because yeah, it had some really fun concepts. That's what there I am.

What We’re Reading Closing Segment
SPEAKER_00Um, so I'm not going with this with a news story today because there wasn't really anything I wanted to talk about. So, but I'm gonna start a new segment called What's Matt Reading? Because I have uh decided to spend more of my free time not on the computer, and so I'm reading a lot more. So I just read. Yeah. So I just finished this novel called The Silent Patient by Alex Michael Michaelides, Michael. Damn, you already finished it? You told me like a week ago you'd even start it. Is about a woman who shoots her husband uh and then stops talking and won't tell anybody why she did it, and it's about her therapist trying to get her to talk about it. Um the first probably three-quarters of it is extremely good and keeps you reading. I felt like the end of it let me down a little bit, but I think it's worth a read.

SPEAKER_01Well, if we're talking about books, I mean, always, as always, stay the fuck paranoid because you never know who is gonna come up behind you and try to beat you off. But um the the book I'm currently reading, about about done with, is uh it's a book called Dead Silence. Um it's not what I expected. It's like a it's a sci-fi horror, but I think Dead Space, but there's like backstory and romance involved. It's very strange. It's like a it's it's like a horror romance uh novel, and I don't hate it. I actually think like it's it's pretty deep, it's got some depth for the characters, but also like I've experienced some moments of genuine dread. So it's it's about uh basically think somebody finds an abandoned space Titanic and they explore it looking for salvage, but find way more than they were supposed to be looking for. What's it called again? It's called Dead Silence. Okay, it's it's it's actually it's better than I thought it was going to be.

You have best series of books I've ever written or uh ever read in my life. And I'm about to be able to do that. Best series of books I've ever written. They're the best books I've ever written. Um, yeah, they're fucking awesome. They're very they're just fucking sick. I my my whole personality is this right now. So I actually just bought two of the the first and second book in Japanese just to have it. Nice. And I don't know how to read.
