Basement Banter And No Spooky Lately

SPEAKER_03

Don't look under the internet.

SPEAKER_06

We're recording.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, brother. We're recording. Hello, everybody. Welcome to Deludi. Don't look under the internet.

SPEAKER_00

Not even one time. It's your boy. Matt.

SPEAKER_04

Oh boy, I'm here.

SPEAKER_01

And it's me. You won't find Doug or Jason here because they are doing other things with their life. But we do have the audience. It's in my basement, shackled up. Hello, audience. Matt, put the screens with the damned right there for me.

SPEAKER_06

Have you watered them recently?

SPEAKER_01

Uh no. My basement's humid enough where they just kind of Oh, like osmosis, so they just kind of absorb it. Yeah. They really don't need osmosis.

SPEAKER_06

Maybe that's not the word.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know what it's photosynthesis, but with water and not sunlight. But uh yeah, they don't really need me for much. They just kind of hang out there shackled against the wall and they're alive? Yeah, that's what you want to.

SPEAKER_06

I remember that. I remember sixth grade science.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. And the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. We've all been there. We've all been there. Um yeah, welcome to Don't Look Under the Internet. The internet's scariest comedy podcast. That isn't that scary. I'm gonna pull the I'm gonna just say it. We're not scary. We covered, I guess, creepy things. Haven't covered anything that sent chills down me lately, though. I will say.

SPEAKER_06

We haven't.

SPEAKER_01

We haven't already watched a thing where I was like, ew, the last thing I think I was like, ew, was uh we haven't gotten anything, any don't look unders recently. Yeah, we haven't. We really haven't.

SPEAKER_06

Glendale was the last thing that was relatively don't look under, but that was really just the jump scares and like the or like the pictures of the or the shots of the fucking things. Creepy guys. Yeah, the the nesters. Yeah, the nesters. Some of those were three out of five don't look unders. But we haven't had a spooky.

SPEAKER_00

We haven't had a spooky. I'm looking at our our shit.

SPEAKER_01

We haven't had a spooky in a minute. Maybe we should do a spooky soon. No through road was like the last, I guess, spooky.

SPEAKER_06

Uh that I don't I don't even know if that was Obelisk. That many don't look unders. Obelisk had some do was some don't look unders.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm. Damn, this has been a minute. Alright, bet.

SPEAKER_06

It's been a minute.

SPEAKER_01

It's been a minute. Well, don't worry, everybody. We'll give you some spooky stuff when all four of us are back at it again with the white vans. But that's not happening right now. You're getting us. You know what? No, I'm not gonna lie. This what we're talking about today has a couple spookies in it. It's it's got some pretty good scares. I like this one a lot. Um today, chat. We're gonna talk about a little something. We're gonna do a little little little mismosh, a little, little, little grab bag, if you will.

SPEAKER_00

First off, we're gonna start off with a little thing called plushies playground.

SPEAKER_01

Now, you're probably asking yourself, Michael, what is a plushies and what is this playground that you speak up?

SPEAKER_06

What is this? Because I watched it and I didn't really absorb much of it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'll tell you, dang it. I'll tell you. So plushie's playground is a YouTube channel, and there's more to it than just a YouTube channel. There's a website, there's an Instagram, there's all kinds of stuff. Um, but you can find plushie's playground on YouTube if you just go to it. So there is a couple different places you can find some videos. The YouTube here is gonna have um, I guess your main three, your big three on YouTube. There is uh if you go to playlists and you go to old videos, you'll find six in total, three of which are not pertinent right now. But there's one's called Plushie's Playground, episode one, three, and two. They're out of order. It doesn't matter what order you watch them in, they don't really have much to do with each other. The others are um the other two are like theme songs essentially, and the other one is says lost plushie tape, headphones warning, and it just has blaring music in the background, and it says sorry for the divorce. So it doesn't really mean anything. I think it's just a shit post. Um, but getting into plushie's playoffs, just a smidge here.

Merch Drop And Quick Housekeeping

SPEAKER_00

Before I get into that, I'm gonna housekeep. I'm housekeeping, I'm clapping them on my head. I know.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, we're the this is the plane, it's taken off and it's being built at the same time. So it is what it is. Um, but housekeeping, new merch is up right now. If you haven't seen it, go check it out. You can get a whole shirt. Now, I want everyone to know I'm preface pre prefacing this, prefacing this. It is supposed to look pixelated on purpose because it is supposed to have that retro look to it. So when you get it and you're like, why does it look like a pixelated thing? That's how it's supposed to look.

SPEAKER_06

It's because I took Jason's face in Photoshop and stuck it over a pixelated photo and pixelated his face.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes, but that is the vibe of the force of like five minutes. So that's the vibe of the shirt. So there you go. But it's up if you want a whole shirt. We also have other shirts up there too, uh, where you can see the new design that we've been working on for like two months. So very fun. Uh I'm very happy with how that came out.

SPEAKER_06

There's also an I got finger blasted at the facility, and all I got was finger blasted at the facility shirt.

SPEAKER_01

You better believe it, baby. That one's gonna sell like hot cakes, I can already tell. Uh, but yeah, that's really all the housekeeping I had. So if you're interested, go to deludi.com. Check it out. If you're a member, you get 10% off merch. Uh housekeeping over. Uh, member of the website, not Patreon. Um, but just because Fourth Wall kind of does that.

SPEAKER_06

But um, there's also a members exclusive pins and beans mug that I really enjoy that I don't think anybody's ever bought. Somebody should buy one of those.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, someone should buy one of those. Um, but uh yeah, we win we're if you want to go from Patreon to uh the website delude.com as a membership, you can. Everything's the same price and whatnot. Uh we've mentioned it in the past. But uh yeah, if you're a member on the website, you get 10% off your merch. Uh but housekeeping

What Is Plushie’s Playground

SPEAKER_01

over. Anyway, back to plushies playground. So with the plushies playground, there's three videos, all of them are roughly about three minutes long. Um, very easy to get through. Now, Matthew, you watched these with me today. I did. Didn't you? Yes. You did. What? I did. You did. Um, no, yeah, we we did. So what did you think of these three videos?

SPEAKER_06

Um I mean, they're fine. Okay, so I'll I'll say the second one is legitimately kind of creepy. I'll give it like two don't look unders. The the vibe, they're very well done, first of all.

SPEAKER_01

Have did you check out the Instagram videos?

SPEAKER_06

Did I check out the Instagram videos? Some of them, yes, I did.

SPEAKER_01

The Instagram videos, in my opinion, are vastly superior. They're not all tied to this, because um, full transparency, the Instagram is filled with the creators, just he just makes random little horror bits. Um, it's not until the last like six or seven videos, like the most recent six or seven, those are plushie themed. The others have nothing to really do with it. But that's when shit gets pretty fun, I will I will admit.

SPEAKER_06

Well, so I mean the production value of all of them is pretty good. So, like on the YouTube, there is three episodes, and it is there's a mixture of some models that are done really well, and then there's also um some puppets that we got going on that are well-crafted puppets. But what I'm mostly impressed by with the videos that are on the YouTube is like the kids acting, yeah. Yeah, like how did I they pretty convincingly got these kids to be like this weird entity is like after my parents, and uh so the the first let's go into the first

Episode One And The Parent Hate

SPEAKER_06

episode real quick.

SPEAKER_01

I'll kind of break it down a smidge. But the first episode, we it starts off like an old 90s TV show, and this whole series has that kind of vibe of 90s kids' TV show themes, things like that. Like, think of your blues clues, think of your uh what's her name, the lady that has the dust bunnies. Uh, she's dressed like a clown.

SPEAKER_06

The lady that has the dust bunnies?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, she's dressed like the clown, and she does the TikToks with her legs.

SPEAKER_06

What the fuck are you talking about?

SPEAKER_01

Hang on. Old an old 90s show with dust bunnies. It's the big comfy couch. Think of your big comfy couches and things of that nature. But um, yeah, it starts off and the theme song. Oh, this bitch. Okay. Yeah, the theme song is kind of a banger, but so creepy. It's like I don't remember it word for word, but it's like the funniest fucking thing. Um, where it's like, uh, we're we're with plushie, he's our friend, he doesn't grow up, he loves you unless you're 18. He's like he loves to play with you as long as you're under the age of 18.

SPEAKER_06

Plushie is a pedophile.

SPEAKER_01

And uh the the whole first episode basically we zoom in on plushie's house. And um his I guess the house is the wrong word for this. It's not his house, it's a like ball pit that he lives in, kind of.

SPEAKER_06

Um it's like one of those bouncy castles, kind of, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's a better way of putting it. Um, bouncy castle, yes. But the lore goes, you you offer up a stuffed animal, you put it on a slide, then you go down the slide, and you go into this magical world and you play with plushie. And the intro shows you this slide that he that you go through to get to plushie. Um, we start off with in the first video, it's one of those bounce houses, it's got two kids in it, probably around like four or five years old, and they're hanging out with plushie. And plushie's like, Oh, what do you like to do at the park? And one of the kids' like, I like to play on the seesaw. Who do you like to play on the seesaw with? You and he's like, Yeah, that's the correct answer. And he goes to the other girl, and he's like, Oh, what do you like to do? I like to play tetherball. And he's like, Oh, who do you like to play tetherball with? She's like, My dad. She's like, You like to play with me more, though, right? She's like, No, he's like, Yes, you do. She's like, No, yes, you do. Gets like very aggravated at her, and uh, she's like, I like to play with my daddy. He's like, Well, and he goes to the other girl, he's like, Your sister's being kind of a bitch.

SPEAKER_06

He doesn't say that, but he's like, She's being a meanie head, but like like thinking about this whole thing, though, maybe we should warn people that like if you have any degree of serious trial childhood trauma, this entire thing may be fairly triggering for you.

SPEAKER_01

Stick away, stick away.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it doesn't get really creepy, but I could see how it could be upsetting to some people.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but um he he goes on to just like kind of like beef with this other little girl that likes to play tetherball with his her dad. And then uh he's like, fine, you know what? You said your favorite uh thing to do at the park is a seesaw, right? And she's like, Yeah, he's like, huh. See this saw, and he pulls out a chainsaw, he's like, I'm gonna use it to cut off your head. And the two little girls scream, and he's just like, I'm just kidding. I'm not gonna do that. You want to go play tetherball? And they're like, Yeah, and then it cuts to like claymation of these the girls playing tetherball, and the dad, I think it's supposed to be the dad, is strung upside down on the tetherball pole, and he's just getting beat to shit by the tetherball, and then it just like caves his head in, and it's like old 80s, like fucking uh uh gumby kind of claimation, it looks like it's kind of robot chicken. Yeah, it's very weird, but plushie himself is like it's got like a weird human-ish face. It's got like um it's got like a handkerchief over it, like it's a hat, and it's surrounded by these plushies. Like there's a Yoshi one, there's um what's it called from the Gremlins? Um a mogwai, I think it's called or whatever, uh on him. Gizmo, whatever, from the the the gremlins on him, and it's surrounded surrounded by plushies. It's very, very weird that you don't see much of this thing except just the face. But it seems to really dislike parents and this one little girl's dad. But that's the end of that video, and I guess it doesn't matter if we go in order or not, so I'm gonna go in chronological, so I'm gonna go to episode two next.

Episode Two And The Slide Trick

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I think that makes sense because they are out of order in the playlist. Yeah, I also think the first half of this entire episode really doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_01

No, it doesn't. Um, so this starts off the same way. It's the plushie's playground, like TV theme opening. And yeah, the first half, like like Matt said, is him playing. Well, it kind of matters when we get to the website, but I'll talk about that later. It starts off with him playing Marco Polo with like a toddler, like I'm not kidding, like a one-year-old. And the one-year-old's just not interested at all because they're one year old, right? But he's trying to play Marco Polo, and then it kind of glitches out, and we're introduced to like old VHS footage of like a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party, and this I think is there's that that meme image of the Chuck E. Cheese, and he looks like he's like fed up or something, and I think it comes from this. There's like a picture of like an image, yeah. There's like a meme image of Chuck E. Cheese where he just looks like he's like broken or shit or something.

SPEAKER_06

I didn't even put that together, but yeah, a hundred percent. Yeah, this is definitely the video that comes from. Yeah, is this reused then?

SPEAKER_01

There there is there is a um a warning in the beginning saying he does not own the archive footage, so this might be archive VHS footage that he just found and used in this uh but this story.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, so the the the children's birthday party is something that he got somewhere.

SPEAKER_01

Because I believe I mean the the stuff with the kids in the playground afterward can't be the no, I believe I uh not to break the fourth wall here, but I I want to say those are probably his real kids. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah, yeah, but we'll we'll get into that later as well. But yeah, it's just a lot of this is just VHS footage of kids at this birthday party, and then it cuts these the two girls again, and they're playing at this park, and they're describing to this person that's holding the camera who plushie is, and they say, Plushie's our friend that we go and play with. He lives in the slide. And if you want to play with plushie, you give him a one of your plushs, you give him one of your stuffies, you slide your stuffy down the slide, and then you go down the slide, and then you're in plushie's world and you play with plushie. And they're describing how he does not like adults. They even say if grown-ups try to go down there, he will kill them. Like the kids say, Yeah, plushie will kill the grown-ups, yeah, doing that whole thing. Um, and honestly, like you're saying, the the camera work in this is so fucking good. It's so good.

SPEAKER_06

Camera work is good, and this is what where I was the most impressed with the kids because like I guess it makes sense if these are his kids that he was able to get them to do this, but like it's a convincing performance. I don't really understand children or like know anything about like how like well they function mentally at this age. I guess maybe maybe maybe I have my expectations set too low of what children are capable of. I have no idea.

SPEAKER_01

Kids are pretty smart, man. Kids are pretty smart. Once they hit like five or so, I got a nephew, he's like five, and he's he's real with it. Like he can he'll he'll pull some shit with you. It's pretty funny.

SPEAKER_06

But um, I just I imagine every child as just like mentally incapacitated until the age of like 13.

SPEAKER_01

13 happens, you're just like, oh, oh god, where am I consciousness? Taxes! Oh but there's the my favorite part of this whole video is at the end here where the kids are explaining to this adult who has the camera what's going on with plushie. And the kids are like, come on, come on. So they they bring him up to the slide, and one of the girls puts her elmo, she has her elmo doll, she puts it down first, and then she goes down, and then the other sister goes down after her, and the guy takes the camera and he looks to the end of the tu the slide tunnel, and all you see is the last little girl come out. The first girl and her stuffed animal never come out, and then the little girl puts her plushie down, and then she slides down, and then the guy slides down after her, and he comes out by himself.

SPEAKER_00

There's no little girl in there. So the little girls went into plushie's land. It's pretty fucking creepy. It is pretty creepy.

SPEAKER_01

The editing is very good. I can't tell where the cut is. It's very good.

SPEAKER_06

I imagine it's when uh he's getting into the slide.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

It's like uh moving around.

SPEAKER_01

You know what? I see it. I I see it actually. Now I say some. It's when she when she goes around the bend of the slide, it you can it cuts it gets to like black as he's getting in. That's his cut. But still, it's it's strung together. Very fucking good. Like very fucking good. Um but that's that's the second video here. It ends on plushie playing Marco Polo with uh that toddler once again in the the bouncy castle, and the toddler just kind of meanders away. But again, like you have this creepy puppet man thing.

SPEAKER_06

I don't like it. I don't like it one bit. He's taking the kids he's taking the kids.

SPEAKER_01

Uh so and so far, this is giving away like this is giving me like Pennywise vibes. You know what I mean? Going after kids, it doesn't really fuck with the adults too much. Um, but it's a little bit of an extra step where this one will kill the adults if they intervene. Whereas Pennywise kind of tricks the adults into thinking everything's normal so they stay away from what he's doing.

SPEAKER_00

Um yeah, Pennywise is weird.

SPEAKER_06

But I was trying to make some sort of analogy, but I'm not getting there. So it's fine.

SPEAKER_01

It's fine. We'll we'll we'll maybe find one later on. Give it like a half hour and you'll just randomly blurt something out. The uh the last video here that's Pennywise is like the Turks.

SPEAKER_06

And where's this going?

SPEAKER_00

And plushie is more like Soviet uh don't worry, you have the power to cut that out later if you feel if you so choose.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe I won't. No, let my shame be public. It's fine.

Episode Three With Tickles And Sears

SPEAKER_01

Um, the last video here is uh Plushie's Playground Episode 3. And it starts off, it looks like an old like Microsoft 98 like video player kind of thing. And it glitches around a bunch, and then we get the intro again to our our favorite show, and uh then it it's I don't it just gets it's dark. This one's a lot darker. It starts off, it's like silent, it zooms into his like little jump castle that he lives in, and then it just zooms and there's nothing there, and then he just bounces out of nowhere, and he's just like, You're not allowed to be here, you're not supposed to be here, you know, unless you have the password. And he's like, Ah, you know, do you know what the password is? I'll give you a hint. Pizzagate. It's Pizzagate. It's the password is Epstein. But he's like, Oh, the password, I'll give you a hint. He's yellow, he's fuzzy, and he loves you. It's Tickles, and then you see this weird bear named Tickles, like yellow bear. It's like poo kind of, but I don't have a shirt or pants, it's just naked. And he's just like, I'm Tickles.

SPEAKER_04

It's creepy. I don't like this shirt.

SPEAKER_01

I don't like this thing called Tickles. But you can uh but yeah, so apparently the password to get into plushie's place is fucking tickles. So there you there you go. Uh but then we cut to footage of like an old Sears, and this is where I'm most interested. Because I'm assuming this is this had to be recorded a long time ago. Right. Because Sears and Toys RSs aren't really around anymore.

SPEAKER_06

In this video, there are no Toys R S's in Sears that are still open for sure.

SPEAKER_01

And in this video, they go to an active looking one and they pick up a fucking Teddy Roxpin, which if you don't know is just a teddy bear that could talk to you. Um but this video follows this person that takes a teddy rock spin and they're taking it throughout the store and they leave the store and they take it home. And all while he's taking it home, it's Latdy is like singing a song this whole time, and it's getting more and more like creepy and fucked up the whole time. Until the end, it just kind of glitches out and it's kind of demented looking. But like, what is this footage? Like, I want to know what the context for this even is because this had to be recorded 90s, early 2000s. What's the context here to taking this Teddy Roxman home? You know? I want to know what the point of this original footage is.

SPEAKER_06

I don't know. I'm I mean, it is so specific that it feels like it must have been recorded specifically for this, right?

SPEAKER_00

But uh it couldn't be like location-wise, there's no way he could have done that.

SPEAKER_01

Sears aren't around anymore. Like my my only guess I'm pretty sure I've seen uh some of those bits with the Teddy Roxpin and some other form of media. So my only thing, my only like idea is that this footage was made or filmed for a different like horror movie or something, and he's reusing it here. I don't think the audio is original. I feel like the audio is dubbed over or something.

SPEAKER_06

There are five Sears still open in the United States. There's one in California, one in Texas, one in Massachusetts, and two in Florida.

SPEAKER_01

How many of them with Toys R Rust's in though?

SPEAKER_06

That's that's the thing.

SPEAKER_01

You know what? You might be onto something though, because I'm looking at one of the scenes and the Toys R Rust here, the giraffe logo that we see for just a second looks like the updated mo version from like the 2010s. So maybe he just has a VHS camera.

SPEAKER_06

Well, I mean, he obviously he does because he filmed his kids.

SPEAKER_01

And you know what? The teddy the teddy rocks bin is just sitting out, it's not in like a package or anything. So it might be, and he brought it there.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Quick, can we see any of the toys? Do they look like modern toys?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Investigation time.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I already know that this was filmed in modern times. A lot of stuff with the little girls. Like he did their best to dress the little girls in like 90s apparel and everything, but they say one thing that blows the whole thing out, in my opinion. Stuffed animals weren't called stuffies in the 90s. That's a more modern thing that kids call their stuffed animals. And I would know, because I am around three children a lot my niece, my nephew, and my kid, and they all call them stuffies. We weren't doing that in the 90s, they do it in this. So that tells me he has a VHS camera that he is filming all this with, which I already knew. I knew this wasn't old 90s footage, but that's one thing that I think he disregarded if he was trying to make it seem uh time accurate.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, there's gotta be back on the Sears Toys or Us thing because I'm not gonna leave this alone. I I'm sure there's somebody out there who knows toys well enough that they could just glance at these shelves and be like, oh yeah, that's a Mr. Boo Boo-Boo Brat from 2024.

SPEAKER_01

There's one I'm looking at. I'm trying to get a good spot. It's right above the Teddy Roxbury is a rock spin, is a uh shopping cart toy. Trying to see what the label on it is, but I cannot nail it.

SPEAKER_00

Because I'm thinking that that could be our I think.

SPEAKER_01

But the logo, you could probably figure out from the logo that that Toys R Us uh giraffe logo. That's that's like more modern. Yeah, that's the modern one. So but anyway, he does take he just takes this Teddy uh assuming home. Uh a lot of people in the comments are assuming he is taking it to offer it to plushie to go to plushie's playhouse or playground, not playhouse. Damn it. Use that footage from before, cut it in here where I said playground.

SPEAKER_00

All right, I got it. Thank you. Um you would think that'd be it, right? But you'd be wrong.

Instagram Shorts Get Truly Creepy

SPEAKER_01

You see, if you go on Instagram and you go to and you look up Jordan Graham film, you will find a profile from a Jordan Graham, and this is when shit gets way more fucked up. This is when shit gets actually creepy and scary. So this guy's obviously some form of like short horror filmmaker. He has a film on Shudder called Seder. Um, he has two like little concept trailers here for for this. He wants to make this a full-blown movie, it looks like, because he's got part one and two of like a concept trailer for this type of movie. And you can find other short stories that share common themes with plushie's playground. Um, one of them being this uh uh this one with a bear that is following this person around a Sears. Look at that. We have a Sears again, and there's just a person in a bear costume that's following people around. Um there is an old way older one called Plush and Seek, where it's someone just like walking through a hallway and you just hear this other person going, Oh, I'm so close. You almost got me, and it's like a grown ass man, like an with like an old man, like the face looks like an old man face, and it's just all basically naked. The only thing they're wearing is like this like pile of plush stuffed animals. Um and you're gonna see that unfortunately come up a lot more. Uh, not much when it comes to plushie's playground until you get to uh a post that's labeled, and this is odd, it's labeled plushie wants to play part two, where it's a bunch of kids running around in a uh like a like an indoor play area, and they're running around with the person holding the camera, and they all go and like go down this slide into what looks like a ball pit, and the guy's the only one that comes out of the slide, and there's something like slithering around in the ball pit with them, and it's like this creepy old man looking thing in the ball pit with them. It's it's pretty fucking creepy. The Instagram is insanely more creepy than the YouTube. Like, I'm so happy I watch these, it fucks. Yeah, the they're very like backrooms, yeah, very backrooms, but like the editing, everything is so good, and it all relates back to this um uh uh this sl like a slide. Like everything is about like this slide. Um there's videos on here where we see um like plushie actually take a kid, like there is something. Uh there's a video called No No No, not Elmo's slide, plushie slide, and it's a toddler that toddler from before sitting at the park, and up by the slide is a dancing Elmo toy. And the toddler seems to be attracted to the Elmo toy, and it goes up to the Elmo toy, and it's just sitting there, and it's at this point you see plushie in his scary ass demon human form come out from the slide and grab the child and the the the toy the Elmo and just kind of like sink them back in, goes like bring them into the slide, and then they just disappear, both of them.

SPEAKER_00

It's fucking creepy.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. There's video of um one called Into the Plushy Abyss Part 4.

SPEAKER_06

I think I have cracked the case.

SPEAKER_01

On what?

SPEAKER_06

On the on the Toys R Us and Sears situation. Yep. So so the Sears is probably inside of an abandoned mall because the shots of the Sears stuff are just in the bathroom, and then there's a cut before the Toys R Us. The Toys R Us is not actually inside a Sears, it's inside of Macy's. There are Toys R Us that are still open inside Macy's.

SPEAKER_00

So Oh shit.

SPEAKER_01

We got you, Jordan Graham.

SPEAKER_06

It's two different malls.

SPEAKER_01

You see what happens when you get a kid with autism. We break it down. There's um oh, there's a continuation of the last video, episode three on YouTube. There's a continuation of it on Instagram called Picking the Perfect Plushie for Plushie, part two. And um, we see them grabbing the uh the the Teddy Teddy Ruxbury, and it's going through the same motions as before. He takes it, he goes out driving with it, uh, but then he takes it over to the slide. Um also it I think it's teddy teddy rux pin, right? Is it teddy rux pin? I can say or is it rux pin? Is it rux pin?

SPEAKER_06

Ruxpin. Yeah. Ah, gotcha. Say teddy ruxpin. I'll we'll fix it.

SPEAKER_01

Teddy Teddy Ruxpin.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

I got a lot of work to do.

SPEAKER_01

Just a 40-minute episode. It's just me saying, hello, teddy ruxpin. Welcome, teddy ruxpin, dude. Teddy Ruxpin.

SPEAKER_06

Plushie's play playground. Teddy Ruxpin.

SPEAKER_01

Teddy Ruxpin. But it shows uh it shows him taking the the teddy to the park. And then we have another video called Can You Be Can You and Plushie Be Friends? Part three. And this is the girl, one of the girls has a teenage mutant ninja turtle, plushie, and he's got his teddy. He puts the teddy down the slide and then goes down the slide. And as he does so, he notices this slide is going for far longer than it should. It's just it keeps going. Oh, it is non-stop. And he goes to look behind him, and there's fucking creepy ass fucking uh uh uh plushie. It's scary. He's like peekabooing around the fucking place, and he's like, hey there, and then you see his like demon human form and he slides away, and then he comes out as like puppet form. He's like, Can you give me that plushie? And he throws the teenage minute turtle plushie at him that the girl sent down, and he's like, Thank you, and he disappears, and then he comes out again from behind the guy in his like human form. He's just like, ah, it's so creepy, it's so fucking creepy, and he just chases this guy through this never-ending slide. Oh, I hate it so much. I hate it, hate it. But then you get more of like um, you get this video where it says sometimes when plushie doesn't want to play, he sends you someplace far away, and it's this guy, and he goes down the the tube and he reaches the bottom of it, which is like it kind of looks like a sewer, like it's got like the water on the floor and everything, and they're kind of lost, and so they're going through this sewer, they eventually find their way out, and it opens up to this like I don't know, field, and this field has like windmills, it's got a gumball uh uh uh like gumball machine, like in the middle of the field, it's got windmills everywhere. If you it's got sheep everywhere as well, and it's got um the guy with the teddy bear costume is just standing way off in the distance by one of the windmills, and he's just staring at this person with the camera. Um, and that's kind of what happens here. After a while, the windmills slowly start to just stop spinning, and then our video just kind of ends at that point. But he he makes it a point to say that this is not, and he does it with all his videos, because it's not made with AI, it's filmed entirely in camera at real locations using a Sony handicam. So wherever he is, my guy's got my guy has the ability to get to like any location that you need to film weird shit.

SPEAKER_00

I'm here for it. This is working out well.

SPEAKER_04

Probably lives in California or Florida, something like that.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sure something like that. Now, here's another video that's gonna be somewhat important. Okay. Uh this one looks a lot this was a okay. This is a little out of out of theme, at least at first. But it's a video where he takes a VHS tape and it's labeled access code and just kind of shoves it into a tree stump, and that's the video. What is all this? We're gonna get to it. Oh, okay. Maybe I don't know. Okay, I couldn't honestly tell you. There's another video of again uh two girls playing with this person holding the camera, I'm assuming is their dad, and he goes down the slide looking for his girls because they went down the slide, never came out. He goes down, he's in that weird like sewer area, and plushie just kind of stalks him and haunts him throughout this like sewer area. It's fucking creepy, dude. It's so good, it's so good and creepy. Um, but honestly, that's that's really kind of it for the Instagram. Um oh, and I forgot to mention as well, my bad. Uh, in one of them, the Into the Plushie Abyss part four, where plush uh plushie's like stalking him through the slide. Uh, he gets to the bottom of the slide, and as he gets there, he hears like his little girls like sounds like they're playing, but he hears something taking like steps towards him, and he has night vision mode on. And he gets to the bottom of the slide, he hears something stomping towards him, he turns around and he sees plushie just waiting at the far end of the slide, just waiting and watching him. And it pans back over to the uh the end of the slide, the exit, and you see this like walking, fucked up, like stuffed animal walking towards him, and it's like mimicking the no the sounds of his kids like a like a windigo type of thing. And uh that's kind and then it ends with plushie kind of getting closer and closer to the guy. But um it's it's it's fucking creepy, dude. It's so creepy.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it is creepy. The I don't know the thing that I like the least, uh, I think about all these videos is like the actual appearance of plushie as a as a clown man.

SPEAKER_01

I don't mind that too much because it kind of shows you, you know, this is some otherworldly being, I guess.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, but I think like the I don't know. It looks too much like a guy in a mask to me, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, and I know exactly what mask they're using too. There's uh there's a old vine. It's just a Halloween mask, like a witch Halloween mask, there's an old vine.

SPEAKER_06

I think that's what that's my issue with it. Is it this this looks like like ever all of this is done really, really well, and then the mask is just like this looks like something you bought at a spirit Halloween. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

There's a uh there's an old vine of someone wearing that exact same mask and someone else has like a monster claw, like shoves it down the guy's throat and he's like, Oh it's that it's that mask. Uh for anyone that knows what I'm referencing there.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Um I mean, I can't hate on but just buying off the shelf masks, off-the-shelf desk too much because it's almost like we've done that same thing. Yeah, it's almost like we've done exactly that.

SPEAKER_01

Movie coming sometime.

SPEAKER_06

Never.

The Website Puzzle And Hidden Videos

SPEAKER_01

Never.

SPEAKER_00

Um so you're probably wondering what is all this?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, what is this?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'll tell you. It's all a big thing.

SPEAKER_04

It is. That's exactly what it is.

SPEAKER_01

There's there's one last thing I want to bring up with this, and it's plushieplayground.org. Now, if you go to plushieplayground.org, it is set up like an old, like kind of like an old kid's like a neopet-esque website. Um there's links that you can go to. There's a Furby. There is a Furby. Uh to get in, it says want to play plushie, give him a plushie. You gotta literally give him one of the plushies, and you can get in. Um now. I don't know if you can hear the music playing on my end, but there's music playing.

SPEAKER_04

I hear the music on my end. I'm gonna get out just safe.

SPEAKER_01

Right, I'm gonna get out just to be safe, but there's a bunch of stuff you can do here. Um, there are um, there's tickles down at the bottom waving at you. There's a point down there where there's it's got like a username login. Uh, it's got a password, and that's where password you say. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_06

Crazy. The people that are playing tetherball in the background give me the same sort of vibe. Like the way they move gives me the same sort of vibes is that uh I forget what it's called, but where they baptize the guy in the river and then they like slam their heads into each other. You know what I'm talking about? I do video. You don't know what I'm talking about? No, everybody will know what I'm talking about.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone know this weird thing that you're talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Ah guys slamming heads in river. Animation. Someone help me.

SPEAKER_01

I I know some oh wait, it's okay. It's an animation. Okay, I know what you're talking about, though. Okay, I thought you meant like something terribly offensive. Yeah, okay. I got you now.

SPEAKER_00

I'm picking up what you're putting down.

SPEAKER_04

That's all.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Um the shoe body bop is what I'm doing.

SPEAKER_01

The shoe body bop, yeah. So there's uh down at the bottom is instant message, grown-ups only, and plushie videos. Um, if you do grown-ups only, that's where it asks you for a username and access to it.

SPEAKER_06

Right. I left this tab open for a little while in the background.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, it'll start fucking it glitches out after a while. God, yeah, yeah, it does that. It's pretty creepy. Um, but if you find all the hang on, first off, there's so much. There's so much I have to get to. There's so much I have to get to. So Tickles asks you to find all the gears, and if you find all the gears in the background and you give them to him, uh, he allows you to put in a password. Password? That's crazy. Weren't we just talking about a password in like episode three? If you type in tickles, like what they say in the video, you get a bunch. You first you get a jump scare, which is fun, but you get the uh the videos that are on uh the Instagram. And uh it's basically just that, it's just all the videos from the Instagram. Um, if you exile that and you go back, you can go to grown-ups only. Um, once you watch those videos from the Instagram, uh, it's got different like uh tabs, and once you get to the last one, if you like highlight the background, it gives you a username. And if the username is called is just it's the slide, and if you go to the grown-ups only tab on the homepage, you it will ask you for a username and an access code. As far as I know, this access code has not been found yet, but the username is the slide. Uh, but we have not gotten to the user the access code as far as I'm I know. So that part has yet to be unlocked. There is also um another way that people found the username is if you go to the instant message portion here, it opens up an instant messaging platform where you talk to plushie, and your your username is given to you, it's child at heart, and he'll first start everything off yelling Marco at you. And it's just Marco, Marco, Marco. I wonder what you're supposed to say. It's almost like he's trying to say mark play Marco. Tickles. Tickles. But if you type in polo, he's like, ah, are you a grown-up or a kid? And if you type in kid, he's like, Oh, so you're a goat? Get it? Ha ha. Funny joke. Yeah, if you if and I don't remember what happens if you type in you're a grown-up. I think if you type in a grown-up, it just kind of just stops the chat. Too old. Yeah, I think it just stops the chat. Um, but if you keep going with it, it'll give you a he'll pull a prank on you, he'll be like, Oh, want to see something funny. He'll send you a picture of boobs, but they're not real boobs, it's like parentheses, period, parentheses, parentheses, period.

SPEAKER_06

Sending kids boobs?

SPEAKER_01

That doesn't sound apparently, yeah, right? He's kind of a creep. Um, but uh after a while, if once you go through the chat, it's all automated too. Like you can just not say anything and it'll just keep going after polo. But um uh it will send you a video. He's like, Oh, I got one more funny joke to show you. You want to see it? And it'll send you a link to a nine-minute video. And this video is essentially someone escaping the uh the tubes, like the sewer that you that you lead to if you're an adult and you try to see plushie, and it shows them escaping it, and they wind up in this like abandoned like carnival. It kind of looks like a like a navy pier kind of thing, and um. It's completely abandoned, there's nobody there. And that's pretty much the whole video. It's nine minutes of them just kind of walking around this abandoned uh Navy Pier-esque amusement park thing.

SPEAKER_00

But as far as I know, that's the plot to plushie's playground at the moment. Now like what Matt said. What is this thing?

SPEAKER_01

What's going on here? I think it's everything's still pretty fresh. I mean, the last video upload was two months ago, and they're all kind of around that like time frame. So I think we're still seeing um this still being shaped and molded. I don't think there's much of a story at the moment with this, but from what I can tell, this seems to just be a fun little mini-series uh about this demon thing named Plushie that steals your kids to go play with them. And uh if you try to go find him, he will just end up killing you. And that's pretty much it. Like I said, it's penny wise, but the adults are in trouble now. Um it's it's more, I don't think there's gonna be much of

Does The Story Actually Work

SPEAKER_01

a story. And I honestly, here's here's the problem I'm coming across.

SPEAKER_06

What is it? What time is it, Mr. Plushie?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, what time is it, Mr. Plushie? It'll just keep doing that, and then I'll that's when it starts glitching out too. It'll just keep counting up to like 20 and then it'll just be.

SPEAKER_06

If you leave the tab open, it just gets progressively worse and worse and worse.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it'll keep it'll keep counting up to 20, and then it'll start glitching and get worse and worse, and then Mr. Mr. Tickles will eventually take over the entire page. It's just a bunch of little pictures of Mr. Tickles. But it takes like it takes like 15 minutes for that to happen or something. It's quite a while.

SPEAKER_06

It happened while I was sitting here.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, hell yeah. Bet. Um But I feel like this person's trying to make a analog horror out of this when I think it's more of just like a a short horror film concept. I don't think you can really make this into a series. Um but from my understanding uh guy's playing at a park with his two kids, two kids tell him a story about this this thing called plushie that wants to play with them. They go down to plushie down plushie's slide to go play with plushie, they never come back. And this guy goes down there, I'm assuming to find his kids or something, and ends up getting got by plushie. Wow. Um I don't know how well this works because the problem I'm coming across with it is there's multiple videos that have the same kids and I'm assuming the same dad, but they keep kind of doing the same thing, like they keep going down the slide, and the dad keeps going down the slide, but like you would think after going down the first time and uh apparently surviving because there's two more videos of him doing it. Why would you ever go back down that slide? You know what I mean? Like, it doesn't really make sense how this dad does he's basically doing the same thing over and over. Like it doesn't make much sense.

SPEAKER_06

There's not there's no real structure or plot here, yeah. It's a concept.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like if this was like a 20-minute short horror film or something, that'd be cool. But I don't see how this could be a series. I don't know if that's what they're trying to do.

SPEAKER_06

Well, maybe maybe he'll start over and have like a whole beginning to end plot with like a short film or something.

SPEAKER_01

Now, what I think would be interesting is first well we'll we'll get to what I think would be interesting in a minute. What I want to talk about first is um kind of I want to get your opinion on this. What do you think of Plushie's playground?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, um like I said, visually it's pretty cool. It's well done. The obviously he put a bunch of time into this. The website is really nifty. Um, like you said, I think there's not enough structure here for this to actually be like a pr presentable thing. Yeah. It it's I don't know. I bet we see this kind of stuff all the time though, where it's just like a loosely executed concept. But as a loosely executed concept, I think it's at the limit of what it can be at the moment without doing something like creating a starting over with a beginning to end narrative.

SPEAKER_01

I do feel like they are trying to have some like use this to jumpstart some form of movie or something for this, because before any of this, it was already a two-part concept trailer that he had for this idea for like a movie. So I think he's using this to kind of gain traction to get an actual movie going.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it almost feels like he saw how successful Kane Pixel's backrooms thing was and was like, Yeah, I can do something like that.

SPEAKER_01

Which apparently this guy might have the clout to be able to do it. I mean, he apparently already has a movie on Shudder. Uh, like I said before, he has a movie on Shudder called Seder.

SPEAKER_06

Uh and so this could just be like a portfolio to present and be like, look, this is my concept for this thing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_06

Or this is something, or he has an idea for something and he's like, This is some stuff that I made in the vein of this.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Now I'm wondering.

SPEAKER_06

Help me fund this and make this a full-length thing.

SPEAKER_01

The other videos on his Instagram don't really have much to do with this, but I think he's trying to combine them because one of the other videos he has on there is just labeled something, I don't remember it exactly, but it's labeled something like um uh found uh VHS archive footage, and it is an extended version of that bit from I think it was episode two, where it's like the kids having that birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. So that had nothing to do with it at first. That that came before a lot of the plushie stuff, but it's now in plushie's playground. So I wonder if he's trying to integrate a lot of that stuff into it. The plushie, the plushie like human figure also was in one of his earlier videos before making a whole thing. So I'm I I'm really wondering if he's trying to make like trying to put everything in the same universe as well. I don't know. But as as far as like as far as execution, he got a 10 out of 10 in my book on this thing. Like, it is fucking what it's whatever it's trying to accomplish, I think it's nailing it on the head.

SPEAKER_06

Um yeah, the quality is really good, like I said. Yeah, the execution is fantastic. I think the only thing the only gripe I really had was I the Halloween mask was I feel like they could have come up with some sort of alternative there. Like if you're already gonna put this much effort into everything, do some face paint or something. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

But I I think what he should have done is because this thing is supposed to be some weird, like plushy demonic thing, he should have kept the human body but gave it like just make like a big plush human head, you know what I mean? Yeah, that I think that would have worked pretty good, right? Um, but all in all, uh yeah, execution wise, I it gets a 10 in my book because it it's fucking creepy. Like I'm I'm kidding, not people. Go look at the Instagram. The Instagram is full of some really, really good, creepy shit. I fucking loved it. Um, the website's fun. Um, what I think I would do differently, and maybe this is what he might try doing if he wants to make it, either a series or like an actual movie or something, is you know, you should you should make it to where plushie is like an urban legend among kids, kind of like kind of like a bloody Mary type of situation, where the kids are like, oh, you know, they they say if you put a plushie down the slide, then you go down, you know, you end up in plushie's land and you play with him all day and whatever. But you don't let your grown-up know because he'll kill your grown-up. Make it like urban myth.

SPEAKER_06

There's yeah, there's not a lot of suspense or mystery that leaves me feeling like I wonder what's gonna happen, or I want to know more about this thing.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Or if this thing is real. It's kind of it it tells you the idea and then immediately executes it.

SPEAKER_01

It executes it's good, but yeah, it yeah, it does just immediately give it to you. But all you have to do is like do that, and then have your main guy, the guy with the camera, do it where it's like his we we see his kids like talking about the urban legend or whatever with some other kids, and they're like, I want to it's not real, blah blah blah. And the other kids are like, then you do it, and the kid does it and disappears, and the whole plot follows the dad trying to find his lost kids, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that that could work like um following him wandering around in like some sort of backrooms type situation where he's trying to find his kids and he's like finding clues, like finding their sock or something. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

They're their stuffed animal, their favorite stuffed animal or something, yeah. And uh that's that's if you're gonna do this, I I don't know how you could do it other than that. Or do it from like the kids' perspective or something. I don't know. Um but yeah, it's it's it's very fun. Um highly recommend watching it. Go watch, especially because it's it's got such low views. The the channel itself only has like it's like 1700 subscribers or something, it's very low. Um I I would say it's a shame that it's that low. Like this, this is like Greensboro to me. I has it has no right that this has this and like Greensboro have like sub like a thousand, two thousand followers where you have things like Godzilla Just Pray that has like 20k. And I'm not trying to bash Godzilla Just Pray too much because I actually enjoyed that series, but one I feel is doing a bit more than the other. You know what I'm saying? Uh yeah, you guys can you can give those shifty eyes all you want. I still think Godzilla Just Pray is pretty alright. I think it was fine for what it was. Um, but I yeah, I I highly recommend this one. Go watch it. Um plushie's playground. Love it, real really fun. I can't we can't do it justice by putting it into words. You do have to see it. And there's a part two.

SPEAKER_06

The whole thing is really visual, like really what you're getting out of it, is just the visuals.

SPEAKER_01

There's there's two bits that I forgot to mention. Uh, there's a lot of bits I forgot to mention, but there's two in particular that I I that stand out to me all the time. One is the guy like testing the slide. He takes like these like bouncy balls or something, and uh he he rolls them down the slide and they come out the end. And then he takes like a stuffed animal and he throws it down and it never comes out, and then he goes down and he never comes out. And I just like that like how he's testing it with the balls first. Yeah, everything. I like that.

SPEAKER_06

There's another uh I don't I don't know that that would be my steps though. Like if something if I throw something in and it never comes out, my next step is never gonna be go in.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Or I'm I'm bringing a rope with me.

SPEAKER_06

Right. Um or just setting a camera down on our rope.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there you go. But there's there's another um there's another one, and this is my favorite bit from one of the videos is the guy's being chased by plushie in the in the the slide tunnel, and they finally get out, and they get out, they're at the park, and they kind of back up and they're they're they're recording and they're like shooting the uh the slide, and you see plushie's head kind of like in the slide, and it kind of just droops back, like he's poking out, slowly goes back in, and then you see like this light, like it's kind of coming from like plushie's body, and you see him going back up the slide, and you just see his whole body, and it's like elongated. That one is visually very weird. It's very fun, it's very cool. And that I think that one stand out stood out the most to me. It like again, a lot of this is very visually fantastic. We're not gonna do it justice by this, you're gonna have to go watch it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it does feel a lot like it was like he had ideas for things like that. Like that entire video serves to execute on that idea.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, 100%. I have this idea for this cool creepy thing. Let's just make the entire video around that, right? Yeah.

Ratings Recommendations And Sign Off

SPEAKER_01

Well, Doug Dim and Dang, people, that's that's plus the playground. Uh, how long is this episode?

SPEAKER_06

Did we were we able to film the entire yeah, we're already at an hour. We don't need to.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, brother. I knew we'd do it. Full disclosure, Peter.

SPEAKER_06

You did it.

SPEAKER_01

Full disclosure. We thought this would probably not take that much time. We had other things ready to go. At least I did. I had some other things ready to talk about if need be, but we might not need that.

SPEAKER_06

Shit, look at that. Thanks, plus hopefully people enjoyed this. This was just mic rambling, and I provided color commentary, I guess.

SPEAKER_01

You know what? As at least you're there. I enjoy, at least if I'm just gonna keep yammering. I like when someone's at least there just be like, huh, yeah?

SPEAKER_06

Damn, then what happened?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, this is what red web does. That's how they do their episodes. It really is. It's just the one guy going, yeah. Dang. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_06

One guy has researched the topic and the other guy's just there. So welcome to look under the web.

SPEAKER_01

That's kind of how it is with us sometimes, too.

SPEAKER_06

Well, yeah. But that's neither here nor there.

SPEAKER_01

There's a couple examples I can think of with that. Some may or may not have been edited out entirely. And replaced with Doug.

SPEAKER_06

But uh that's never happened.

SPEAKER_01

No, but yeah, I hope you all like it. Go check it out. Uh, you know what?

SPEAKER_06

I'm giving this, like, I know it's just a small the YouTube video for that episode is really funny because it's just suddenly, suddenly the overlay goes away and everything, and it's just Doug sitting in his room, just like, uh, and then and nobody else is talking. Or like anyway.

SPEAKER_01

I love it. Uh, but I I know uh we talked about it before. I know this is just like there's not a whole lot going for it, it's just small concepts, but I'm giving this like a nine out of ten out of pure pure execution, I think, is getting like a nine out of ten for me. I fucking love it. This is fun.

SPEAKER_06

I didn't watch as much as of the Instagram, TikTok, whatever stuff. Um I can't, and I'm not really in a mental state to I'm not gonna give this a rating. I it's it's well done though.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there we go. I don't feel right giving it a reading. Full disclosure as well, there might be an access code. If you go to this Instagram, there is a um one of those little bubbles that has like a topic to it, and one of them is it's access code, but it makes you go to someone else's account to check that out. And I didn't care to do that. So we might have the access code to get past that that and there might be more content. But I, if I'm being honest, I did not have the time and I didn't really care to I I I'm limited on how many times I can access Instagram. I wasn't about to spend my limited time accessing Instagram going to another person's Instagram to get to this access code to put it in this website. I ain't care. I ain't care, but you can go, you can go care. You go check it out, you listener.
